Happy Birthday, babclayman! Here is a fanfic I wrote just for you! I hope you enjoy it!

One day at Dearly Farm, Joey decided to hang out with Clayton and Kendra.
“It sure is nice to be hanging out with you guys,” said Joey.
“I gotta agree with you, Joey,” said Clayton. “We don’t see much of you these days.”
“Are you sure it’s a good idea for us to be hanging out with him, Clayton?” asked Kendra. “I am a little worried how he might act around us.”
“It’s okay, Kendra,” Clayton responded. “Remember, Joey is autistic, so we gotta cut him some slack.”
“I appreciate you saying that, Clayton,” said Joey. “It’s nice to see you trying to get Kendra to be a better pup.”
“Well, she is my girlfriend, so I gotta respect her wishes too,” said Clayton.
“That’s right, Joey,” said Kendra. “Though I am doing my best to respect you as well.”
“I’m still hoping that some day, you guys will treat me as friends the way Belchic and Tippy do,” said Joey.
“Speaking of Belchic, I’ve noticed he’s been in a much better mood than he has been in a while,” said Kendra.
“It’s because of that certain show that you and I watch,” said Clayton. “He was upset because it wasn’t airing here in the US for the longest time, but now it is airing here, and now he feels better.”
“That’s a relief,” said Joey. “I was starting to think he was going to end up doing something more serious...or the other pups were going to punish him for his behavior.”
At that moment, Kendra’s stomach let out a very loud growl.
Joey blinked, “Did you hear that, Kendra?”
Kendra blushed and giggled, “My stomach just growled. I guess I’m hungry.”
Joey smiled at Kendra. “You think some kibble will do the trick?” he asked Kendra rubbing her stomach.
Kendra giggled, “One step at a time, Joey!”
The three pups walked over to the troff outside the chow tower. They ate some kibble that was still in the troff and continued to walk.
“So are you guys excited about going to that Disney convention?” asked Joey.
“We sure are,” said Clayton. “It’ll surely be interesting.”
“Which panels are you planning to go see, Joey?” asked Kendra.
“Well, I looked at the schedule and made a list of the ones I wanted to see, and I’m planning on going to each one of them,” said Joey. “I can share my list with you guys if you want, and maybe we can see some together.”
“That’ll be great!” said Clayton. “So what are some of the panels you had in mind?”
Before Joey could begin to speak, Clayton suddenly got caught in a net. He had been caught by P.H. De Vil who ran off with him.
“Clayton!” Kendra shouted. “Quick, Joey! After him!”
Joey followed Kendra as the two pups chased after P.H. De Vil. They lost him when he got to his car and drove off, but fortunately, they were able to follow Clayton’s scent all the way to the House of De Vil. Once they got there, they were too late. P.H. had already taken Clayton inside.
“Oh no. We’re too late,” said Joey. “We gotta get Clayton out of there!”
“It’s okay, Joey,” said Kendra. “Clayton has his growth ray. He can use it and get himself out of there in an instant.”
“Oh, he does, does he?” pondered Joey. “Then what’s that over there?”
Kendra looked and saw Clayton’s growth ray laying on the ground outside the building.
Kendra gasped, “Clayton’s growth ray! He must have dropped it as P.H. De Vil took him inside!”
“Guess that means it’s up to us to save Clayton now,” said Joey.
“When you’re right, you’re right,” said Kendra. “Do you got any ideas?”
Seeing Clayton’s growth ray and noticing it was just him and Kendra, Joey figured this would be a perfect opportunity for him to do something he’s been wanting to do for a long time. “I do have a plan,” he said with a grin.
Kendra recognized the evil grin Joey was making. She thought she knew exactly what was on his mind.
“You’re not suggesting we do...that thing Belchic likes, do you?” asked Kendra worried.
“That’s right!” said Joey. “And since we got Clayton’s growth ray with us, we can now be a believable size!”
Kendra made an unamused face. “Joey, you know very well that I don’t do that kind of stuff! I refuse to carry you on my shoulders!”
“Come on, Kendra,” said Joey. “Clayton’s life is at stake here! I know you don’t like doing this kind of stuff, but there are times when we have to step out of our comfort zones, and this seems like a mandatory time to do just that!”
Kendra crossed her arms and firmly said, “Sorry, Joey, but the answer is no!”
“So you’d rather leave your boyfriend to die than step out of your comfort zone to save him?” asked Joey. “Very well. We’ll just leave him there to die then. You’ll never see him again! Also, I’ll let Pug know that you were not willing to step out of your comfort zone to save the life of your own boyfriend, and he’ll permanently kick you out of the Bark Brigade!”
What Joey said caught Kendra’s attention. He did bring up some good points. Even though it sounded like Joey was going to great lengths just to get his way, she did consider Clayton’s life being at stake as well as her reputation with the Bark Brigade.
“Think about it,” said Joey. “Is it really worth it?”
Kendra let out an exasperated sigh. “Alright, Joey,” she said. “But don’t expect me to do this for you again anytime soon.”
Joey was happy to finally talk Kendra into this. Not to mention, this was a perfect opportunity for Kendra to put her strength to good use. With all that said and done, Joey grabbed a trench coat and fedora along with a pair of Groucho Marx glasses. He climbed onto Kendra’s shoulders. Kendra sighed.
“Now, try to stay calm, Kendra,” Joey said as he started petting Kendra’s head.
Kendra suddenly had a funny feeling in her body. It was a reaction to Joey petting her head, which little did he know was her soft spot. She smiled and wagged her tail.
“That feels good, Joey,” Kendra said with a smile.
“Oh, really?” Joey asked.
“Yep,” Kendra said followed by a few pants.
Joey petted her head some more and said, “You like that, huh?”
“I do,” said Kendra. “I’ll tell you what. From now on, I’ll allow you on my shoulders, just as long as you promise to pet my head.”
“It’s a deal!” said Joey. Joey was happy that the two of them finally made a compromise. Though he liked petting Kendra’s head anyway as it was really soft.
After that little moment, Kendra stood up with Joey on her shoulders. Joey used the growth ray to enlarge the two of them so they’d be the size of a human. After that, they put on their disguise.
“Okay, Kendra,” said Joey. “Let’s go save Clayton!”
Kendra walked inside the building.
Meanwhile, Clayton was trapped in a cel very worried about what P.H. De Vil was up to and what he wanted him for.
“Excellent,” said P.H. De Vil. “This puppy is the perfect test subject I need for this experiment.” He had a strange-looking invention with him. “This ray gun will turn you evil and become a permanent slave to my cousin, Cruella! You will do all of her bidding!”
Clayton whimpered. Could this be the end of his happy life on the farm? Or will faith get him out of this mess? Well, his answer soon came. Just as the scientist was about to test his machine, there was a knock at the door.
“Drat,” said P.H. “I was on a role too! Of all the times for me to get interrupted.”
The scientist went and opened the door and saw before him the disguised Joey and Kendra. “Hello, good sir,” he said. “Who might you be, and what brings you here?”
Joey cleared his throat and spoke in a deep voice, “My name is Joe Kendrick. I am an analyst researcher who interviews scientists to see what kinds of new experiments they are doing.” Fortunately, Joey had some Human Tongue formula so that he can speak with humans.
“Ah, very good,” said P.H. “Come on in, sir.”
Kendra walked inside. Clayton wasn’t sure what was going on at first, but when Joey and Kendra stood in front of him, he smelled right through their disguise.
“I was actually about to experiment a new invention as you were about to walk in the door,” said P.H.
“I see,” said Joey. “Would you please explain what you are experimenting with?”
“Certainly,” said P.H. “This device right here is an invention made to turn animals evil and become permanent slaves to my cousin obeying any orders she gives them.”
Kendra gasped. “Why that no good...” she started to growl. Joey heard Kendra, and fearing she might blow their cover, he quickly stuck his paw in the coat petting her head, which calmed her down.
“Very intriguing,” said Joey. “May I see your test subject?”
“In the cell right next to you is the puppy I was about to test this on,” P.H. said.
Joey and Kendra turned towards Clayton who was looking right at them. “This puppy?” Joey asked. Kendra then peeked out of the coat and winked at Clayton before hiding again.
Clayton was surprised that Kendra agreed to do this but not as surprised as he was about P.H. Devil buying this.
P.H. continued, “I found this puppy out in a field and caught him.”
“If I’m not mistaken,” said Joey, “I think this might be one of the Dearly’s 101 Dalmatians. I recognize the spot pattern on this one, and I think you made a mistake in choosing this one.”
“How so?” asked P.H. confused.
“This one can grow to an enormous size and get super violent when caught by a stranger,” explained Joey.
“Oh, poppycock,” said P.H. “Why should I believe that?”
As he spoke, Kendra secretly stuck her paw out of the coat holding Clayton’s growth ray. Clayton wagged his tail in excitement as he saw it. Kendra then zapped Clayton with the growth ray making him grow to an enormous size just big enough to scare the evil scientist.
“Because,” said Joey. “He seems to have become a giant right now!”
P.H. turned to Clayton. He was now ten times bigger than the scientist. He growled and barked ferociously. P.H. De Vil freaked out and ran amok as Clayton broke out of the cell and gave chase crashing through all of P.H. De Vil’s experiments. Soon, the scientist ran off to uncanny valley.
Now that Clayton was free, Kendra made him even larger so that he crashed through the roof and was now towering over all the buildings of the city. He carried Joey and Kendra back to Dearly Farm walking slowly across the city and into the country. He waved at all the people down below him.
Once the trio had returned home, Joey shrunk everyone back down to their normal sizes.
“Thank you so much for saving my life, guys,” said Clayton. “I’m even more happy that you managed to get my growth ray in on the act too.”
“Well, it was all Joey’s idea,” said Kendra.
“I can see that,” said Clayton. “The disguise is definitely something I would expect from him. Though I’m really surprised he talked you into doing it with him, Kendra. I thought you refused to do that sort of thing.”
“Well, I do,” said Kendra, “but Joey and I made a compromise.”
“Kendra said she’d let me get on her shoulders if I petted her head,” said Joey. “Naturally, I agreed to that.”
“Wow,” said Clayton. “I’m impressed.”
Kendra then wrapped her arm around Joey and said to Clayton, “Yeah. He and I are officially friends now.”
“I see,” said Clayton. “Now, let me ask you something, Joey.”
Joey perked up. “What’s that, Clayton?” he asked.
“What kind of compromise can I make with you to get you to be giant?” Clayton asked.
Joey thought carefully about this until finally, he came up with something: “Clayton, you can make me a giant if you let me ride on a girl’s shoulders while I’m big.”
Clayton responded, “I see. So if I had someone like Cecilia in on the act too, I can make you both giant while she gives you a piggyback ride?”
“Exactly,” said Joey.
“It’s a deal,” said Clayton.
Just then, Joey got an idea. “Say, you love dragons, don’t you, Kendra?” he asked.
Kendra nodded.
“Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year Festival in Grutely,” said Joey. “I just got a great idea on how the three of us can help make it a huge hit, and it involves all three of our interests!”
Clayton and Kendra were a little confused at first, but Joey explained his idea: “The three of us will all go to the festival dressed as a giant Chinese dragon and entertain the people there!”
Clayton and Kendra were a little unsure of this at first, but they reluctantly agreed to the idea deciding to give it a shot. This made Joey very happy.
The next day, Joey, Clayton and Kendra worked together on a dragon costume for the three of them to wear. They worked until sundown and had finished just in time.
“Alright,” said Joey. “The Lunar festival is about to begin! Are we all ready for this?”
“Are you sure about this, Joey?” asked Clayton.
“Don’t bother me with details, Clayton,” said Joey. “I’m doing this for all three of us.” He then turned to Kendra and said, “Okay, Kendra, let me get on your shoulders.”
Kendra sighed as she bent down. Clayton got a little nervous as Joey climbed onto Kendra’s shoulders as he wasn’t sure how she would act. Once Joey was up, he petted Kendra’s head. She smiled and wagged, and this gave her the enthusiasm she needed for carrying on with this act.
“See, Clayton?” said Joey. “I told ya we made a compromise.”
Clayton was still puzzled, but he decided to just not say anything else and get into the costume allowing Kendra to climb onto his shoulders. Once the tower of pups was complete, they put on the costume, and Clayton used his growth ray to make them a giant dragon.
“Alright! This is awesome!” said Joey. “Let’s give the people of Grutely a show they’ll never forget!”
Clayton slowly started walking to Grutely making sure he knew where he was stepping. Joey would pet Kendra’s head every now and then just to keep her from getting annoyed.
When the trio arrived at the Lunar Fedtival, the people were surprised at this giant Chinese dragon they saw before them. The three pups worked together to choreograph some stunts that amused and entertained the audience. Clayton was being careful to not cause any damage, and Joey continued to pet Kendra’s head from time to time so that she’d stay happy.
After a while, the pups were starting to get tired, so they decided to leave the party and head back home. The people were disappointed to see the dragon go away, but the act was a huge hit at the festival and even made the front page on the Dearly News the next day!
Once back home, the pups got out of their costume and reverted back to their normal sizes.
“See? Wasn’t that fun, guys?” asked Joey.
“Well, you know we’re not a big fan of your totem disguise quirk, Joey,” said Clayton.
“True,” said Joey. “But even though I got to do that, at the sane time, Kendra got to be a dragon, and Clayton got to be a giant.”
“Even though I was the stomach of the dragon,” added Kendra.
“And I couldn’t see very well,” said Clayton.
“Well, I know you guys weren’t 100% happy with it, but thank you for agreeing to do it with me,” said Joey.
“You’re welcome,” said Clayton.
“I’m sorry I’ve been so rough on you in the past, Joey,” said Kendra. “I keep forgetting that you’re autistic.”
“We promise we’ll try to be more fair with you, Joey,” said Clayton, “but you gotta promise to be fair with us as well.”
“I tried to be this time when I came up with this idea that involved things that we all loved,” said Joey.
“We know,” said Clayton, “and we appreciate the fact that you were thinking of us.”
“We may have had some rough times in the past, Joey,” said Kendra, “but you’ll always have a friend in me.”
“And me,” added Clayton.
“So does this mean you’ll continue to give me piggyback rides, Kendra?” asked Joey.
“Maybe not for a while,” answered Kendra. “Just remember to ask first, and promise me you’ll pet my head while I’m carrying you.” She smiled and winked.
Joey smiled and winked back, “I will.”
“I promise I’ll go easy on my growth ray with you too, Joey,” said Clayton. “I’ll be sure to ask you first and only use it on you when you’re ready.”
“I appreciate that, Clayton,” said Joey. “Also, for the record, I have no interest in getting revenge on my enemies with that thing.”
“Fair enough,” said Clayton.
After all that said and done, the three pups went their separate ways and went to sleep.
The End.

The End.
