So is Trolls 3 next? Sorry for my disappearance I was on a little family vacation. Actually, I think Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget is next.

We have a Five Nights at Freddy's movie coming later this month.
Is that going to count?

No. It’s live action.

As Belchic says, the Film is "Live Action", but I do hear the Suits are being made by the Jim Henson workshop, if that's something.
Are there any "Animated" Christmas Films coming this year?

I'm sure there may be some coming that are exclusive to the streaming services, but none of the mainstream ones as far as I know.

I think a year or two ago, they had that "Animated" "Christmas Carol" Film, where Scrooge had a Dog, I think?
One Film I SERIOUSLY need to watch still is "Klaus"! I have heard nothing but good things on that one, but Christmas has always been so hectic for the past couple of years, haven't been able to properly sit down to watch it.
Looking it up, apparently, Channel Four in the UK will have an Adaptation of "Mog’s Christmas". Although, I do wonder if that will be similar to the Sainsbury Advert they made of it, several years ago?

Well, today, we got "Trolls Band Together", and AniMatt already posted his review on it. Now, here are his thoughts on it:
Story: 2/10 Animation: 8/10 Characters: 3/10
Overall: 4/10 = 43%
It looks like we finally got a movie this year that has earned the AniMatt SEAL OF GARBAGE, and needless to say, this is now his pick for the worst animated film of 2023!
1. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - 93% 2. Nimona - 93% 3. Elemental - 80% 4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem - 73% 5. The Super Mario Bros. Movie - 67% 6. PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie - 57% 7. The Magician's Elephant - 53% 8. Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kracken - 47% 9. The Monkey King - 47% 10. Trolls Band Together - 43%

That film franchise effectively ran its course so not much was truly expected.
On another note, today we got Disney's newest entry into their animated canon, Wish.
And... ohhhhhhhh dear...
Its current RT score is at 51%, meaning it's declared "rotten", though audiences seem warmer with a score of 77%. Metacritic weighed their reviews too at 49/100, meaning "mixed or average reviews".
I ultimately will go see this movie, but I will be setting my expectations low.

Is this movie really going to turn out as bad as the live action Pinocchio???

I’m going to see Wish this Friday. I don’t care if it’s getting bad reviews. I’ve been hyped for it since Disney first announced it, and I’m going with an open mind. I probably won’t write a full-on review of it since I won’t have time. Though one thing’s for sure, I will be updating my rankings of each animated feature by era.

Okay, everyone! I just got out from seeing Wish! And my verdict? What if I said it was…the BEST ANIMATED FILM OF THE YEAR? I seriously don’t know what those critics were saying! It was SPECTACULAR! Totally lived up to my expectations! It was loaded with references to past Disney films, but most of them were references to Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. There was even a reference to 101 Dalmatians in the movie! I don’t know if babclayman has seen it yet, but if you did, bab, do you know which scene I’m talking about? Also, I think they also made references to sources outside of Disney! Without giving away any spoilers, the way the villain is defeated reminded me a lot of My Little Pony. I know that sounds strange, but those of you who have seen it might know what I am talking about. If I was to give one criticism, the movie did feel a little rushed. I guess I’m used to these movies being a bit longer nowadays. Like I said, I don’t have time to write a full on review of it, but to keep it brief…Story, Animation, Characters and Songs, 10/10’s all around! Perfect movie! Belchic’s Seal of Approval, no doubt! Oh, and one other thing: “Once Upon a Studio” did NOT play before the movie. :’( What did the rest of you guys feel about the movie?

I almost forgot about AniMat's review of the movie. Let's find out if he agrees with me or with the critics...
Story: 6/10 Animation: 9/10 Characters: 7/10 Songs: 8/10
Overall: 8/10 = 75%
So it sounds like his opinion was somewhere in between, but still disappointing compared to what I was expecting. So now, here's where the list stands:
1. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - 93% 2. Nimona - 93% 3. Elemental - 80% 4. Wish - 75% 5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem - 73% 6. The Super Mario Bros. Movie - 67% 7. PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie - 57% 8. The Magician's Elephant - 53% 9. Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kracken - 47% 10. The Monkey King - 47% 11. Trolls Band Together - 43%
So it looks like all we got left are Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and Migration.

I did get to see Wish myself.
My thoughts on it are well, after being utterly bored by Strange World, I can say this one was an improvement. Not one to call a masterpiece, but it was fine.
It is nice to have a bunch of nostalgic callbacks that remind us of what we loved from them in the past, but that type of thing doesn't make up for not having a solid story to tell. It looked great and was very well-animated but nostalgia only goes so far.
I would reccommend going to see this movie, just... it's not the home run that Disney had hyped it to be.
