Chapter 1
Night fell as the House of De Vil was locking its doors. As Anita was walking toward her car, she heard from Cruella De Vil on what happened at a Warehouse, while she was hoping that everyone that worked there was alright. She was relieved to know that the pups were alright and weren't anywhere near the Warehouse at least not to hers and Roger’s knowledge.
She had a feeling that Balance and her siblings along with their Guardian TJ was protectors of the family and keeping an eye on everything that was happening in Gruteley, She would sometimes look up at the stars at night and see one shooting across the sky. She never really questioned if the shooting stars were the dead people since their daughter was born into the world.
She could recall that her Niece when she was really young, would call her over to the TV and point to the two shooting stars and say that those were the parents of the character that the episode was showing, of course. It was a TV Show and Anita figured it was a part of telling the viewer, this is their parents watching over them from the sky.
Anita didn’t really pay any attention to what was going on in the street as she walked toward her car only to see a group of thugs near her car. “Bad timing.” The leader said to Anita.
She nodded. “You’re telling me.” She agreed. She started to run away from the gang as the leader shouted for his gang to grab Anita’s purse, another Gang member tackled her to the ground as the purse slid out of her reach while the thugs were planning to take everything away from her as she screamed out for help.
A rock came out of nowhere and broke one of the lights that was shining down on Anita and the thugs, a scuffle was heard as the thugs felt blows coming left and right, they didn’t know if they had an assassin in their mists or it was Anita fighting back, after a few more blows the attacker faded away as the Police showed up.
Lights showed that the gang had been tightened up and was waiting for them. “You’ve seen them all O’Malley.” A Police officer said as he and his partner walked over to the Gang. “Tom, will you give Tim a hand?”
A police officer walked up to Anita. “You alright?”
“I’m fine, I was just walking to my car when…” Anita started explaining to the cops of what happened when she noticed a piece of a claw on the ground, she sighed in relief knowing that they were protecting her.
“Can you make it to your car, okay?” The police officer asked.
Anita nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be okay.” She replied.
Anita walked over to the claw piece and picked it up. This definitely belonged to Shawn. She put it in her purse and started toward the car.
Unbeknownst to the Police and April, four Labs were watching from afar. “Oh, man.” One whispered.

The Four Labs headed back to the farm in victory as Balance splashed water onto her face. “We were awesome.” She said as the soot started washing off of her face, revealing that she had two white ears. Blake couldn’t help but wag his tail excitedly knowing that they had won their first battle in the shadows.
“Yeah, can’t wait to do that again.” Blake said to his sister, washing his face off with his paws. He had two black ears, a left black paw and a right white paw, he was wearing a green collar.
“Excellent.” Shane said to his sibling as he washed his face from the soot, revealing that he had a right black ear and a left white ear. He was also wearing his Navy Blue Bandana around his neck.
“Can we not…?” Shawn asked, washing his face from the soot, revealing that he had a white right ear and a left black ear. He wasn’t too intrigued with losing a piece of one of his claws as they all headed into the barn.
Balance approached TJ and sat down in Seiza Style. “We have taken down some thugs in the city, Master T.J. There were many, but we kicked…” She didn’t think that T.J. Would like the language that she was about to dish out, so she folded her paws together and bowed a bit. “I mean, we fought well.”
“Were you seen?” T.J. asked.
Balance shook her head in response to T.J.’s question.
“In this you must never lapse, only those who would be our allies outside this family, will not understand.” T.J. Said to the Siblings. “You are Caninja, you strike hard and fade away without a trace.”
“I lost a claw!” Shawn shouted, as the tension inside him rose.
“Then it will grow back.” TJ said to Shawn to calm him down.
“But I can get it back, I can get it back.” Shawn spoke.
“Shawn, let it go!” TJ suggested.
Shane placed a sympathetic paw on his brother’s shoulder, Shawn didn’t accept it and pushed his paw away, Shane pushed him and Shawn pushed him back.
Not wanting a fight between his students TJ shouted. “HAI!” He told them to stop. “You four should use my teachings wisely.”
The four siblings looked at their teacher. “I suggest we all meditate now, on the events of this evening.” TJ suggested, he slowly closed his eyes and took a deep breath when he heard the TV going.
“Well, this is something to meditate on.” Blake said to TJ.
T.J. shook his head. Kids. Thought TJ

A blue news van with a ladder on the top of the van, and big words that read. “BOB’S NEWS TEAM” A woman and her cameraman got out of the van to get their equipment set up. The news woman walked to the back of the van seeing her men getting the cameras and cords. “Listen Johnny, we need to make this big, the last two gigs weren’t good enough to let us keep our jobs.” She spoke.
“Of course, I hope we can beat Mike Weatherby, this time.” Johnny spoke as he handed one pair of wires to the other man and got another pair. “Can you believe that guy is really successful lately? I wonder how he does it.”
The News woman shrugged her shoulders. “Beats me.” She said to Johnny. “Look, once we interview her, we’ll be golden with the boss.”
“You know, Burne isn’t going to like this, having us interviewing a couple of Eighteen Year Old girls.” Johnny spoke.
“I know, but do you have any other ideas for a story?” The News Woman asked.
The cameraman thought for a second and shook his head. “Good point.” He spoke.
“Then let’s go inside, interview her and before you know it, Bob’s your uncle.” The newswoman spoke.
“Whatever you say, June.” Johnny spoke. “You’re the boss.”
He grabbed his gear and followed June into the “Robotics Factory.”

Shane examined the robot dog design, as he was eager to find out what made it tic as he begun taking it apart, he wasn’t very pleased that these things tried to chase them from the farm and home. While he didn’t mind living on the streets again or back where T.J. was staying. He knew that those two options weren’t going to happen, especially when they were going to be put down.
The Dalmatian knew that if Spot hadn’t done what she did, then that was a possibility as no one would’ve wanted to adopt them after what happened to the Chow Tower and their supposed look-alikes were causing chaos in the streets of Gruteley. He sighed knowing that even Roger, Anita, Pongo and Perdy didn’t believe that they were innocent till proven guilty and him reading up on those attorney books that he found in the junkyard wasn’t going to help their case any.
He had a feeling that he wasn’t going to be using them unless someone was accused of something that they didn’t do and even if that were to occur. Shane knew that the farm would choose Lucky over him.
“Hey bro.” Shane turned his head and saw it was his brother Blake trying to get his attention, in his muzzle was a piece of paper, while he knew that Blake would say that he’s perfect for game testing, but in reality Shane always pictured him as an artist who knows how to draw stuff that he wants built.
Like he did for Spotty after finding out that he was going to be delivering pizzas for Blaze. But this one mechanical device that Blake wanted Shane to make was going to hold four or six pups as it took off to places. However Shane wasn’t really in the mood to build a device like that.
Blake laid the paper down next to Shane. As he looked at his brother. With a grin on his face. “If you build it, we will ride.” He said to his brother. Shane sighed, he knew that he loved his brother and wouldn’t hesitate to be there for him when he needed it. However he had explained to Blake time and time again that he only made the ride for Spotty cause he had to deliver pizzas at a fast pace.
“I appreciate the offer, Blakey.” Shane said to his brother as he turned his attention to the Robo Pup. “But I don’t have the time or place to make one, without getting in the way of the other pups, Roger, Anita or Nanny.”
“But there’s plenty of space.” Blake defended.
“I can’t ask Noggin to share his underground base with me.” Shane spoke.
“What about—”
Shane, not wanting to argue with his brother, decided to give his brother a task. “Here, if you can do this for me, then I might consider your request.” He said to Blake as he handed him a picture with the words. “HOME SWEET HOME”. “Go hang this somewhere in the barn.”
“Don’t I need a Hammer and some Nails?” Blake asked, tilting his head.
Shane shook his head. “Not this time, Roger placed a nail somewhere in the barn, planning to place something up, but forgot to do so.” He replied to Blake as he took a piece of the Robo Pup. “It should be easy to see and place the picture on.”
“Alrighty.” Blake said to Shane and took the picture looking for the nail in the wall.
Shane looked at Blake. “Stop playing those Dalmatian Fantasy Games.” He said to him. “They’re confusing you!”
Shawn was watching the TV, however there wasn’t anything good that he was interested in. He sighed as he went to turn the TV off with the remote. As he was lost deep in thought, he turned away from the TV and walked away. He was eager to be happy that they were able to avenge their mother. But he knew that his heart felt empty. Something was bothering him and that was the incident with those infernal toy pups.
He saw Blake looking for something as he walked up to him. “Whatcha doing, bro?” Shawn asked.
Blake placed the picture frame down and looked at his brother. “I’m looking for the nail that Roger put in the wall.” He said to his brother as he looked at the wall, looking for the nail. “It’s got to be here somewhere.”
Shawn helped Blake look for the nail, since he didn’t have anything better to do. “Any idea if pups can eat tofu?” Blake asked.
Shawn tilted his head as he looked at his brother. “Tofu?” He asked.
“Yeah, some humans actually eat that stuff, it’s supposed to be good for you.” Blake replied. “But I’ve never seen a dog eat something squishy like that before.”
Shawn did recall that there was a news report about a bunch of people teaching a Lion to eat Tofu. He wouldn’t want to try it, as he figured that the stuff was nasty and didn’t really taste any good.
“Just getting hungry thinking about it.” Blake said to his brother. “Especially if you think of Tofu Eggs.”
“Uh…” Shawn started to say. “Blake, I don’t think Roger and Anita will give us any of that.”
“Why not, bro?” Blake asked.
“Cause they aren’t really vegetarians.” Shawn replied.
“That won’t stop them from giving me that Kanine Krunchie Brand that I love.” Blake said to Shawn.
Shawn finally found the nail. “I found it.” He said to Blake.
“Where, bro, where?” Blake asked, looking for the nail.
“Right there.” Shawn replied, pointing his paw toward the nail in the wall.
Blake saw how high the nail was. “Aw, man!” He spoke as he didn’t expect it to be that high. “How are we going to reach it from here?”
Shawn had an idea as he walked over to the stacked Hay Bales. “I have an idea.” He said to his brother. “Help me push these Hay Bales.” He started nudging the hay bale real hard with his head as Blake helped him out. The pups managed to push them up against the wall and got two more stacks, pushing them up against each other.
Blake jumped up toward the wall and hung the picture on the wall and fixed it up, he placed his paw on his chin and smiled, liking the way the picture looked, he then had a thought as he jumped down the hay bales. “I just had a thought bro.” Blake said to Shawn. “What if there was another Universe or in 60 Years, we’ll be having descendants who live in a house with Technology and Cruella is badder and meaner than ever.”
“You read too many Comic Books, Blakey.” Shawn spoke, he started walking away from Blake when he bumped into another Dalmatian, this one was female and had two black ears, with spots around her neck and a spot in the form of a Jewel on the top of her chest. Shawn couldn’t stop gazing at the Dalmatian from time to time, due to her beauty. “Oh, hey Jewel.” He smiled, wagging his tail. “How are you doing today?”
“I’m doing better now.” Jewel said to Shawn. “Well, since like Ivy tried to get us put down, at least.”
Both pups didn’t like the idea of Ivy De Vil being at the farm, but Cruella would pawn her off on the Dearly’s recently since Cruella found her lover, it made the pups sick to their stomach thinking about it.
“Any idea, what you have planned for next week?” Shawn asked.
“Nothing in particular, why?” Jewel replied with a question of her own.
Just play it cool, Shawn. You’ve got this. Shawn thought he could feel himself sweating as he has never done this before, at least not where it would succeed as the pups before he met Jewel would ignore him from time to time. “You see, I-I, uh.”
“What my brother means.” Blake spoke as he walked up to Jewel and Shawn. “Is that he doesn’t know what to say to a cute Dalmatian like you.” He sat down between the two. “But it would be an honor if you would allow him to take you out to dinner.”
Jewel blushed, thinking that Shawn never saw her that way, as she looked away from Blake and looked at Shawn. “Is this true?” She asked.
“Yeah, so uh. Dinner?” Shawn asked.
“Sounds good.” Jewel replied as she wagged her tail.
“Next week?” Blake asked, whispering into Shawn’s ear.
“Next week?” Shawn asked Jewel.
“Yeah.” Jewel replied.
“Next Friday?” Blake asked, whispering into Shawn’s Ear.
“Next Friday?” Shawn asked.
“Next Friday.” Jewel replied with a smile.
“Great, I’ll see you then.” Shawn said, wagging his tail.
“It’s a date.” Jewel said to Shawn as she walked away from Blake and Shawn.
Balance came up to Blake and Shawn with a DVD in her mouth. “Good news, Blakey.” She said to her brother. “Your favorite Diagora Film was up for grabs in town.”
“Ooooh, nice!” Blake said as he took the DVD from Balance’s Maw and walked over to the TV Set, he was excited to watch his favorite Kaiju Film as he put the DVD in the DVD player, before he could watch it, he noticed something that caught his eye.
“Uh, guys.” He said to his brothers and sisters, pointing to the TV. “Can anyone guess who has their own factory?” He had a pretty good idea as the 99 Puppies along with TJ, Pongo and Perdy were near the TV, where they saw the sign on top of the building that read. “IVY’S ROBOTICS!”
