Two other Dalmatians joined Patch, Priscilla, and Tornado at the Beach Villa, having arrived after hearing about celebrating Christmas in July. They may not have grown up with the custom, but life is all about trying new things, no matter how weird they may be.
"Shadow," said one of the two, dressed in nothing but an orange sundress, spots decorating her body, though leaving her ears blank. "I can feel the magic in the air. Christmas came early this year." The two were by the Christmas tree, staring wide-eyed at the colorful Christmas lights and ornaments. The visceral sentiment of their surroundings made the two want to stay.
Shadow wore long black pants, which stopped above his bare feet. His chiseled abs and pectorals graced his shape. Spots in the formation of stars covered his upper body, including the ears. Unlike Patch, Priscilla, and Tornado, Shadow himself was barefoot, preferring to stay that way. His beliefs are what caused Shadow to arrive on his bare feet. It connects him to nature and the planet. He chuckled at the Dalmatian with him. "Cecilia, it's going to be a holiday we'll never forget," he said, his tail wagging.
Cecilia, like Shadow, was also on her bare feet, and the ground felt comfortable under her soles. She turned to Patch and Priscilla and said to the two, "Is this your first Christmas in July, too?"

Hmmm, I think I'll join in this RP. I'll use Shadow and Cecilia.

Shadow smirked, hearing Whiskers. He placed his forepaws on his plump, overweight belly—his signature pose. "I am gifted in the bewitching art of magic, Whiskers," he said, "also, while I do share regular contact with Samuel, I don't let him influence me. I have to figure out the right paths myself."
Genesis squinted their eyes, getting a good look at Cruella's car. "Okay, Lucy, Nugget, here's the plan," they whispered, "We go back and tell the others we found Stirfry, but one of us has to stay behind in order to keep a keen eye on Cruella."

Shadow nodded his head, chiming in after hearing both Clayton and Whiskers. "I'm just spitballing here, but what are the chances of this Gerald Bailey being a father, and these glyphs were written by his children?" Shadow abruptly hushed, checking out the glyphs, locking them in his brain. Still, he nodded at Clayton. "Precisely, Clayton." He chuckled at Whiskers. "Whiskers, the people who end up adding glyphs to enchanted items end up adding more, hoping that will make the magic more stable. However, it's a ludicrous move because a novice magic user would not understand the danger they unleash."
The star-spotted Dalmatian, a magic-user himself, knew the danger of enacting unknown spells.
Meanwhile, Genesis's ears perked, hearing the familiar voice. "Nugget, Lucy, listen. . . 'Stuck to my car,' 'Mongrel,'" Genesis repeated the Devil Woman's words. "I think we've found Stirfry. She's at Cruella's!"

You inspired me to work on Shadow's 101 Dalmatian Street backstory. He'll still be the same as his Series counterpart. He'll still like synthwave music, is homosexual, and likes the dark side of things.

Shadow took another glimpse of the book. "Clayton, I think you're hot." He said but quickly added, "in a way that says you're close and on fire, and I agree with you with the glyphs being the key on how these books work. Now, all we gotta do is focus on the glyphs, and we can fix Stirfry."
The star-spotted Dalmatian didn't pry his eyes off the glyphs. He allowed them to cement themselves in his brain. But he answered Whiskers without looking up. "These could be how the books work, but we don't want Swamp Rat to know that. So let's say it's some of our doodles that we're practicing for the upcoming art fair? And we didn't have any paper on us?"
"Hmmm. . . do you hear that?" Genesis's ears flickered as they pinpointed the sound of a car. "Guys, be on your toes. In case something pops out in the open."

Wow! Happy Birthday to all of the aforementioned.
But only one thing. . .
I can't believe you have forgotten about Prince, Clayton!

Shadow froze, eyeing Clayton, and then Whiskers hearing the feline with the purple hat ask about the glyphs he found. The star-spotted Dalmatian hesitated to talk about them, seeing how he doesn't trust the cat. He'd much rather discuss with Sandy, or Clayton for that matter.
He continued to eye the glyphs, all written in pencil in an unknown language. Could it be a clue itself? Still, Clayton and Sandy were around, so if Whiskers didn't do anything extreme, Shadow could spill the beans. "I found these glyphs. . ." He showed the book in Clayton's direction, but they were still visible by Whiskers. "I don't know what they mean, though."
Genesis nodded at Lucy. "Well, if we see any coyotes, better make sure that Nugget doesn't do anything that ends in us harmed," they said. They noticed Nugget digging. "Nugget, what are you doing?" they asked, walking to the pup hard at work.

"I didn't say that you accused me of being a slob, Clayton," Shadow replied, picking two other books, analyzing them, and seeing if he could find anything of use. More dedications. "This Gerald Bailey sure seems like a family man."
Shadow's ears perked, hearing Clayton's suggestion. They could see Swamp Rat, but he could trade his cape for information, but he didn't want to part with his identification. His cape is his identity rolled in fashion. Capes are cool like fezzes. "Clayton, you and I could make a quick trip to the swamp. Then again, Swamp Rat may want to use me as a beanbag chair."
Shadow then turned his attention toward Whiskers. "Okay, tell us then." He said before showing a cunning grin at Sandy.
"Better." He mouthed.
Resuming analyzing the books, Shadow flipped through some pages, coming across some pencil marks. They were in an unknown language in the form of glyphs. And they were written on most of the pages. "Hmm. . . normally, I'm against people writing in books, but you gotta see these."
Genesis turned over to Lucy. "Wait, they're coyotes here?" Genesis didn't have an irrational fear of coyotes. They found them majestic and grand and were even friends with a couple of coyotes.

Okie, can I admit something? I like hypnosis. And yes. It is a quirk. Believe me. There are people who like to hypnotize people. And Nitika. I wonder what she has in mind.
And finally, we mustn't forget Clayton and Deidra. It's as if they got along the moment they met. Of course, the same can happen to Shadow. Awkwardness may happen but they can venture their way out.

Shadow opened his muzzle, about to say a witty quip to Whiskers, but clamped shut, thinking of wording his reply. He opened his muzzle and said, "He who cheats using magic should never learn the craft."
He then eyed Clayton after hearing him call Sandy. Doing something is better than dawdling. "Clayton, mind if we work on this together? It'll make me feel more valuable than an overweight slob," he said.
Genesis yelped as they sprinted after Nugget. "HEY! NUGGET! Could you wait for us? We're supposed to stick together!" They craned their heads back to Patch and Priscilla. "You guys, come on! We're playing an impromptu game of Catch the Nugget!"

Sometimes, I feel like Shadow can be irrelevant to RPs I partake here on Sparky's or in group RPs on Discord. Like omit him, and the RP will turn out the same.

Shadow turned over to face Whiskers. "And if he is a mage, then that would mean he uses his magic to make himself live longer. Mages aren't immortal at best, but they semi-cheat death by using their abilities to slow down the aging process." The star-spotted Dalmatian pondered, heeding the cat's words. If they wanted to get to the bottom of this, they would need the author. And considering both Whiskers and Sandy, and even himself, are knowledgeable on the magical arts, they would need to pinpoint Gerald Bailey's location. "Whiskers, Sandy, where do you think he dwells?"
Meanwhile, Genesis turned to their party. "If we recall, Stirfry left in a heartbeat toward the woods. So it's palpable that she's still there."

Genesis nodded to Lucy, Patch, Priscilla, and Clayton. "Clayton, the four of us will find Stirfry. Hopefully, she isn't in much trouble." They then heard Clayton inquire about them returning. "Clayton, you have my word. I won't let anything happen to Stirfry or us, but I am worried about her." Of course, it's normal to worry about a friend, but finding out if they're okay or not is a must. A sense of closure is in the works. They then turned over to face the people who volunteered.
"Well, shall we go, guys?" With that, Genesis padded his way down to ground level and waited for the others.
Shadow turned over to Clayton. "Clayton, this Gerald Bailey. I can't stop thinking that he could have been a warlock or a mage, considering what had happened today with Stirfry." he said.

Shadow glared at Sandy and then at Pumpkin. Knowing Pumpkin, things may turn out in his favor, which means chaos for the others. He saw Clayton whispering something to Sandy, and if Pumpkin couldn't hear surely the same was for him.
He replayed the events that happened in his head. He and the others found the box containing the books, Shadow reading a spell that caused Stirfry to become magnetic, which one thing lead to another that ended in chasing and catching a cat in a purple witch's hat. What a bizarre day this had been.
But then Shadow heard Pumpkin. He leaned toward Sandy and whispered, so that Pumpkin wouldn't hear, and said, "Sandy, think hard about this. You don't want to make a mistake that'll you'll regret."
He then wondered about author Gerald Bailey. "Hey, Sandy, check to see if Gerald Bailey is still alive. Maybe we can learn about him in the back flap of the books." Of course, he felt a magical vibe regarding the author, but he didn't dare tell Pumpkin or Sandy or Clayton. Not yet.
Genesis turned to Clayton. "I can look for Stirfry. And I hope that nothing bad happened to her," they said.
