I was a little reluctant to watch this pair of episodes, but once I started, they didn't seem that bad.
Episode: "Rolly's Eggcellent Adventure / Wild Chick Chase
Classification: Above Average
Score: 7.6
These were both pretty good episodes of the series, and I happen to have a lot of input on them, even though they both seem like the exact same episode.
In "Rolly's Eggcellent Adventure", Spot wants one of the main pups to babysit her Mom's eggs while she's out. Lucky and Cadpig made up lame excuses to not do it, but Rolly actually volunteered to do so. While the episode did seem kind of thin, it had some strong points. For one thing, I really enjoyed the Beatles reference (Rolly's "get back" line). I also liked the running gag where Scorch is about to eat Cornelia's eggs but gets bashed unexpectedly. Rolly trains the chicks to act like dogs, and they turn out to be the heroes of this episode. Rolly does indeed make a great teacher for the least interesting of the main pups (while my least favorite is still Spot). Lucky and Cadpig also had a lot of memorable lines in this episode as well.
Now "Wild Chick Chase" seems to be pretty much the same as "Rolly's Eggcellent Adventure", since it also involves chick-sitting. Spot has to babysit Peeps while also trying to enjoy a swim with her best buddies. While Peeps is kind of cute, she is a tricky chick! When nobody's looking, she gulps down her milk bottle, and boom! She's gone! It's kind of strange that a highway just appeared out of nowhere near Hiccup Hole. This is an old cartoon joke we've all seen a lot where a character gets itself in danger by crossing a busy street but doesn't get hurt. Also, for some unknown reason, there is suddenly a waterfall attached to Hiccup Hole. Even Lucky noticed it was there all of a sudden! ("Who put a waterfall there?") That log ride looked pretty fun. I want to be a dalmatian puppy and live on Dearly Farm, so I can do that log ride every day! There was also a cultural reference in this episode that I enjoyed, which was the Frogger reference (the pups jumping across the logs trying to get away from the waterfall).
Overall, these were both reasonably strong episodes, and they've earned my recommendation. I personally liked "Rolly's Eggcellent Adventure" better, but "Wild Chick Chase" was good too. They're worth a watch, and I'm sure you won't regret it.
"What is a dog? What is a chicken? Does anyone ever really know?" -I never thought they'd mix until I met these four adorable animals! "Rolly's Eggcellent Adventure"

Not a bad review. Not bad at all. I assume the 'Frogger' reference is what you were refering to before?
Nice signature, too.

I was actually referring to the Beatles reference, I just found that Frogger reference when I watched the episode.

Episode: "Snow Bounders / Gnaw or Never"
Classification: Another Great Installment
Score: 9.0
"Snow Bounders" and "Gnaw or Never" were both excellent episodes of 101 Dalmatians that I rather enjoyed.
In "Snow Bounders", Roger and Pongo are going camping on a snowy day for a little male bonding. Lucky, Cadpig, Rolly and Spot sneak along to prove that they can survive in the wild.
This, I find, is one of the most adventurous episodes of the series. There is also some strong character developments in this episode. For one thing, it gives Lucky a chance to show his ways of being a leader. Cadpig also shows that even though she is an unusually strong pup, she is still very light in weight (hence the fact that she would have been blown away by the wind if it weren't for her friends). Rolly and Spot are also in character as they've always been throughout the series.
This is also very entertaining for the sake of the characters in this episode. Lucky and Cadpig each get a lot of memorable lines in this episode. This is also a strong vehicle for Pongo, as it's one of the very few episodes where he played an important role. Horace and Jasper also give some good laughs in this episode; even though they are amongst the least interesting characters in the series, their stupidity really exceeds in this episode (such as when they didn't know where Cruella was when she screamed for them, and when they were distracted by the fireworks).
This is one of the very few episodes in the series where Cruella is actually nice to the pups. Though it was painful to see her force them to mush her to shelter, they got treatment by sharing her fire.
"Gnaw or Never" is kind of a strange episode, but it's still very good. We all know Rolly as a lovable character who is always hungry and very suave. However, in this episode, things change. After biting one of Cruella's shoes in an attempt to return it to her, he suddenly is constantly craving shoes.
Rolly is still in some ways the same character he has always been, but the obsession with shoes he developed caused him to not care about his home or his friends. It always hurts me to see the main pups get separated, and I prefer to watch episodes where Lucky, Cadpig and Rolly all do stuff together.
The ending, I felt, was a little awkward, when Scorch starting eating Cruella's shoes. I've always known plenty of dogs to do that, but not ferrets.
Overall, a strong pair of episodes in one small package. They've earned my recommendation. I'm sure you won't regret it once you've watched them.
"If anyone can scare off the Angel of Death, it's Cruella." -Eep! Hide me! "Snow Bounders"

Have you reviewed the three-part series finale yet?

No, but I should watch it again and see what I can come up with. That seems to be a popular episode on this board, so I really should review that episode. I'll do one on "Love 'Em and Flea 'Em" too.

Episode: "You Say It's Your Birthday"
Classification: A Very Special Episode
Score: 9.8
I, as well as many other fans of 101 Dalmatians, believe that this is definately one of the series' best episodes.
In this episode, Roger is giving away all his old teddy bears to one of Cruella's companies so that they could be given to charity. On the way to the bus, he kept stumbling over the puppies in his way. The main pups, however, overhear the conversation he has with Nanny, and they misinterpret this believing that their pets are giving them away to Cruella.
Little did the pups know, their pets and their parents were planning a birthday party for the pups to celebrate having them in their family for 101 days. Anita had been designing costumes for each of the pups. Unbeknownest to her, Cruella had been spying on her, and she thought that Anita was plotting something with Ralphie St. Lawrent (Cruella's rival).
On the day of the party, the main pups get up early and decide to run away from home. However, Spot finds out about the party, and she catches the pups just in time to bring them back.
There are a lot of aspects of the episode that make it what I believe one of the best episodes of the series. For one thing, it has an A story and a B story, which makes us feel sorry for more than one character.
This is also the only episode in the series where Cadpig's stomach growled (not that I think anyone would care, but it's something I just felt like pointing out). Each of the four main pups suffered a growling stomach sometime in the series (Rolly especially).
I liked the party scene where the pups all wore their costumes. Everyone's looked really cool. Also, for some strange reason, I liked Anita's line where she said Cruella was trying to help make the party a big success.
Overall, "You Say It's Your Birthday" is just a wonderful episode. Cadpig has said a lot of memorable lines in the series, and two of my favorite things she's ever said were in this particular episode. I have an online friend who reviewed this episode and concluded his review with one of the two quotes I'm talking about, so I'm going to conclude this with the other one.
"I don't handle rejection well!...Although, I have revenge down pat." -Revenge does come in handy, but sometimes, it's just not necessary. "You Say It's Your Birthday"

Okay guys, I have now just done my first official fanfic review!
"Street Fighter: The Dalmatian Edition"
Classification: Adventurous
Rating: 8.9
I've always loved "101 Dalmatians: The Series". I was dissapointed about it's short run, since there was a lot of stuff I wanted to see happen in the series that never happened. I often like to read fanfic when it comes to shows like this.
Most fanfics I have read did not really capture a lot of essence of the series (some had too much fanfic characters and Two-Tone). This fanfic, as written by Trey_Vore, I found to be a pleasure to read. Since he reviewed some of my fanfics, I thought maybe I'd return the favor.
I should start out by saying that the author did an awesome job writing the story. The characters are not quite depicted perfectly, but they are pretty close as I would expect them in the series. I was surprised the fact that he put Belchic and Noggin, two characters that I made up, in the story. Belchic and Noggin are very close as I intended them to be: Belchic saying a lot of cool phrases while still having common sense, and Noggin being sarcastic and intellegent while at the same time worry about Cadpig. Tic-Tac, another fanfic character that someone else made up, is also in character as a notorious villain wanting to kill Lucky.
The storyline is similar to a Street Fighter type of story, hence all the action that goes on. It was also very painful; a lot of seperation went on between the large group of pups, and I was really hurt to see Cadpig get scathed. It still payed the bills.
The addition of characters who didn't appear in the series at all made a nice addition to the story. Jewel, Oddball, Little Dipper and Domino made for good supportive characters. You gotta love their personalities.
The only part that didn't make much sense was I wasn't sure what the target audience for this fanfic was supposed to be. Is it supposed to be a 101 Dalmatians episode or a Street Fighter episode with the 101D characters in it? And explanation behind which would be nice.
Overall, "Street Fighter: The Dalmatian Edition" has earned my reccomendation as a fanfic reading. If you have time, check it out. It's a lengthy story, but it's worth it if you have some time.
"There's no popcorn, soda, not even interactivity. What kind of show is this?" -It's just something you should just learn to love. "Street Fighter: The Dalmatian Edition"

I've got another review in the process, and here it is!
"Virtual Lucky"
Classification: Alternate Reality
Score: 9.7
All you fans must believe that this is one of the best episodes of "101 Dalmatians", or else, it's "Game Over"!
In "Virtual Lucky", Roger has made a new video game, which he's about to submit to a game company.
At the beginning, while Roger's finishing up the game, Lucky and the gang are having fun with a catapult that Nanny made to get some of her work done. Of course, Spot had to but in and ruin all the pups' fun. Cruella stops by to get a preview of the game, which the main pups get to see as well. After Roger leaves his office from getting a phone call, Lucky and Cruella get transported into the computer, and literally play the video game. (This is really a good time for the pups to have some way of getting their message out to the humans.)
I'll have to say that Roger's game was very well made, though I don't see how it would sell in real life. I'd play it, but video games are much longer and complex than this one (but hey, this is only a 22-minute episode).
During the second round of the game, Rolly and Cadpig get zapped in as well, which made me happier. Seeing the main pups together never fails to make me smile.
Now, the third round is where it started getting really weird. Lucky, Rolly and Cadpig had to work literally as one to defeat Cruella. Cruella's lines in the last round sounded extremely villanous, as I'd expect out of most video game villains.
This episode had a few good lines and quite a few terrible puns. Spot doing her best to keep Roger from shutting down the computer was very suspensful at times. The ending, I felt, was appropriate: Cruella and the pups are freed from the game's domain, and they all live happily.
Overall, I strongly reccomend "Virtual Lucky" to all fans of the series who are video game nuts. This is definately one of the best episodes of the series, and I'd probably put it in my Top 10. I just hope my computer doesn't do anything buggy to me.
"At last! Supreme one-ness, jointedness, togetherness! When is it over?" -We can overcome any obstacle if we work together as a team. "Virtual Lucky"
