I'm going to presume you said they need more MALE characters? I can see the reason for that, but while this is a more "Gender neutral" series than something like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, it's still a cartoon about a girls' toy. It'd be like asking for there to be more female Transformers. Yes, I did mean to say MALE characters. d**n autocorrect changed my words to the wrong ones! Still, nice to see you respond to one of my things there, Trey, but what are your thoughts on the other ones I listed? Here's the rest: #4 - Better song arrangements. Now, for the most part, the songs in this series are quite good, but I think they should just stick to one song per episode. But definitely keep up the good work with the songs. Well you do have a legit point on this. Don't have them sing to break up the narrative is what I would be concerned about. #3 - More cute scenes with Zoe and Pepper. This was something I feel the series needs more of. Very rarely did we see any cute moments with Zoe or Pepper. Those are my two favorite pets, so I'd like to see them try to make the most out of them. They will all get chances to be cute. It will happen if you stick with it. #2 - An episode where the pets do a totem pole trench. Yeah, you all saw this coming. This series does have potential to have this trope occur in it. My ideal episode would be have the pets do this to pose as Blythe's senior prom date. Their lineup from top to bottom would be: Vinnie, Russell, Zoe, Minka, Pepper, Sunil, Penny Ling. if they have to add fake arms and legs for an extra boost, I'll accept that. I'm sure this would make quite a funny episode if it did happen. Eh... I'll not touch this one. #1 - Get rid of Buttercream! A new character who was added to the show for no reason at all. She served no purpose other than to be downright annoying. If they have to use her, then I say they should only use her sparingly, because having her featured in too many episodes just feels like overkill to me. I'm sure there are fans of the show that find Buttercream's oddities to be adorable. Merely some fans finding a random character annoying isn't really reason to get rid of them; they would only do that on one of, or some combination of the following: The character is confirmed to add nothing. One example I can think of would be Disco Stu on The Simpsons. Granted the show has a whole laundry list of characters at its disposal and he's used occasionally but I feel he's worth a mention. When he first appeared in the 7th Season episode "Two Bad Neighbors" he was a lot of fun but he got old quickly, nowadays we are wondering "what is his point?" The character is seen as an offensive ethnic and/or homosexual stereotype. This is the reason why when it comes to Looney Tunes television networks would rarely show any cartoons with Speedy Gonzales, and why Skids and Mudflap were a major part of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen but disappear without a passing reference in Dark of the Moon. If you want another example, Jar Jar Binks managed to be all of that. He went from a major role in The Phantom Menace to a minor role in Attack of the Clones to a non-speaking cameo in Revenge of the Sith. Another example is in the Star Fox video game series, no matter how much the Westerners claim to think Slippy is nothing more than an annoying load, he's generally well-liked in Japan so no matter what our opinion of him is they are not going to get rid of him. Same deal with Krystal, the Japanese think she's "okay" (though she's not without her fans) but in the West she is wildly popular. No matter what fans say Nintendo is not going to get rid of her; I realize that would mean fans that hate her (wheter it's because they don't think she's useful, think she's "furry-bait" or just because she wasn't with the franchise from the beginning) will continue to be annoyed but if they decide to get rid of or kill her, her fans (myself included) are obviously going to be very upset. Just remember though, you kinda need a little more than just Fox and Falco for the game to be cool.

Buttercream is a bit of a base breaker, I see.
Spot is somewhat a bit of a Base Breaker in "101 Dalmatians The Series", although I don't mind her as she does get some amusing moments and actually serves use as the Main Pups Lockpick.
I don't think getting rid of a character is going to cure a problem. They should at least get a chance to try and write her character better, try to rescue her from the scrappy heap; and if they are still unable to salvage her, then they might just reduce her to a background character. Although, considering that (like MLP) LPS is somewhat a show meant to sell toys, it's highly unlikely that they'll drop characters so quickly, isn't it?

Replying to the rest of my list wasn't necessary, Trey. Especially since it's nearly a year old now, and LPS is already done with its 2nd season. I still rest my case on Buttercream. I still think she's annoying, and I still feel she didn't add much to the series. Besides, did she even do anything for Blythe or the pets that was actually useful? As for my #2, I kinda had a feeling you'd say something like that. Though, about that: I will say, even if that doesn't happen in Season 3, the act they pulled off in "Stand-Up Stinker" was satisfying enough for me. I've got a couple upcoming Top 10 lists I'll be posting here within the next couple weeks, so watch for 'em!

For the record, I like Buttercream. I certainly don't find her annoying at least.

Stirfry: I'm not surprised. Trey_Vore: On account of Star Fox, I personally find Peppy more annoying than Slippy. And wait...Falco has a big fanbase? Would that make him an ensemble dark horse? I guess a lot of fans were probably pissed when they found out he wasn't in Star Fox Adventures.

I liked Wild Thornberries, Mona The Vampire, Madeline and remember watching and liking Pepper Ann, Pokemon & I think they aired Tom & Jerry Kuds, that had some Snoopy in that show, more than the movie did.
Did he explain why he had to put a tie in for two of the slots?

I need to reply to this:
Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain (1998) - I remember you putting this on your Top 15 Worst Cartoons of the Silver Age. I agree that it was kind of pointless, especially considering it's very short run.
The Wild Thornberries (1998) - Yeah, this wasn't one of Nickelodeon's best shows. Ultimately forgettable.
Cow and Chicken (1997) - Are you kidding me? This show has a cult following!
Wedding Peach (1995) - I've never heard of this show.
Captain Tsubasa J (1994) - I've never heard of this show.
Yo Yogi! (1991) - I remember you putting this on your Top 15 Worst Cartoons of the Silver Age. I will say that most youth adaptations of franchises are pretty darn pointless, especially if they contradict the plots of other backstories.
Doug (1991) (both Nickelodeon and Disney versions) - Definitely agree with the Disney version, but I'm neutral towards the Nickelodeon version.
Mike, Lu and Og (1999) - Not one of the best shows on Cartoon Network, but it's not that bad. Ed, Edd n Eddy is a million times better.
The Wacky World of Tex Avery (1997) - I agree. This was a legitimately bad show.
Rocket Power (1999) - I didn't think this show was that bad. Probably one of Nickelodeon's last good shows along with CatDog and Invader Zim.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1990) - Did this show really need to be made? The movie was bad enough!
Dumb and Dumber (1995) - Was there a point to making this show? Or any of the other cartoon adaptations of Jim Carrey movies for that matter?
New Kids on the Block (1990) - They had a cartoon?
Fat Dog Mendoza (1998) - I've never heard of this show.
Hammerman (1991) - I thought this was a pretty cool show.
Madeline (1993) - This was from the 90's? I thought it was earlier than that.
My Little Pony Tales (1992) - I can forgive this show. I mean, it's nowhere near as good as Friendship is Magic, but it's entertaining in a corny way (like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog). I would at least go as far to call it a guilty pleasure.
Mona the Vampire (1999) - I've never heard of this show.
The Brothers Flub (1999) - This show failed miserably. I think it's worthy to be on this list.
Thugs on Film (1999) - I've never heard of this show.
The God and Devil Show (1999) - I've never heard of this show.
Mega Babies (1999) - God! This show makes Rugrats look like the Ninja Turtles! If this doesn't make you puke, then what will?
The Brothers Grunt (1994) - Never saw it, but I've heard plenty of bad things about it.
Pepper Ann (1997) - I will agree this show was overrated.
Pokemon (1998) - Really?
The Tom and Jerry Kids Show (1990) - This show is nowhere near as entertaining as the real Tom & Jerry, and I can't believe how long it ran on television!
Three Friends and Jerry (1998) - And the point of making this show was what, now?
Where's Waldo? (1991) - It's a shame it didn't last.
I am so thankful he didn't put 101 Dalmatians on the list, but here are some shows I think he should have included:
The Mask (1995) Mr. Bogus (1991) Little Rosie (1990) Shnookums & Meat (1994) I Am Weasel (1999) Little Shop (1991) Blazing Dragons (1996) Waynehead (1996) Samurai Pizza Cats (1990) Walter Melon (1998) Aladdin: The Series (1994) Sonic Underground (1999) Littlest Pet Shop (1995) Bonkers (1993) Spongebob Squarepants (1999)

AniMatt lists these as the Top 10 Pixar movies. Would you say that this sounds close to the universal opinion?
#10 - Brave (2012) #9 - Monsters Inc. (2001) #8 - Toy Story 2 (1999) #7 - Ratatouille (2007) #6 - The Incredibles (2004) #5 - Finding Nemo (2003) #4 - Up (2009) #3 - Toy Story (1995) #2 - Wall-E (2008) #1 - Toy Story 3 (2010)
