Hey guys. X3
I've been checking out alot of television programs and as we know, for some reasons, they edit a scene or cut it and it confuses you why. o.O
Examples, I can give for "101 Dalmatians The Series". X3
In "Invasion Of The Puppy Snatchers" When, Spot discovers the pups aren't aliens. She is told by, Lucky, Rolly & Cadpig, why they are green (due to paint) and the reason they are floating is due to they were riding on, Balloons, and then she is shown the reason they were talking in a high pitched tone with, Lucky pointing to a small tank of, Hellium.
On the "Disney Cinemagic" version, In which I recorded, the scene in which, Lucky points to the tank of, Hellium was cut out. Why did they do that? It explains why the pups were talking like that and I don't see anything wrong with, keeping it in. o.O
Another edit is in "Valentine Daze" When, Anita needs the room to work in, Roger sneaks with his, Valentine gift in a box under his shirt. When, Anita asks what it is, he explains it's a new video game he is working on. "The HunchBox of Notre Dame" before he runs off saying "Got to ring some bells".
On another, Cinemagic version of this episode, They cut out the line of him saying what the game is called and saying he needs to "Ring Some Bells". Again, I ask why? It's not like they said anything naughty (at least to my knowledge). They didn't need to cut that line. o.O
Another line is in "Oozy Does It". When the, Pups see that some chemicals have been dumped into the lake, Lucky says "Dumping, Crud is illegal..." In, Cinemagic again, they cut him saying that line. I can guess it's because, Crud sounds similar to, Crap, however they're able to say it in, U rated films, why not on, Television. o.O
I even remember once on the, Simpsons. In the, UK the show is shown on, Channel 4. In the episode when, Apu gets married, Homer comes in dresses as the Elephant god before a shocked (if possibly offended) crowd of, Apus people, before he gets chased by this. In the, Channel 4, version, it just cuts to him stumbling in and then cuts out his line and beggining to get chased. Why? That was the best part of the, episode and if they're fearing that it's offensive, well...the characters are suppose to be offended and they show that, Homers acting is inaccurate. I don't see why they should take it. o.O
Still, If you guys have any more examples with cases like this or possible reasons for ones stated above, feel free to tell us and see what we have. X3

This would be my guesses:
For "Invasion of the Doggy Snatchers", I think they cut out the helium scene because the helium joke had already been used in the series once before, and Cinnemagic didn't want the series to grow stale by reusing repetitive dull jokes.
On "Valentine's Daze", they probably cut it because they thought the joke was stupid and lame. That, and they thought the "ring some bells" line would get them sued by AC/DC.
Those aren't precise; those are just my guesses.

Besides, If they cared for, Lame jokes, explain why they're still show episode of, Hannah Montana and, Zack & Cody on their channels! Also, You can't blame reusing jokes as a reason. I don't recall a joke like that being said before, if they did it Six times in the episode maybe, besides, IT WAS A PLOT POINT! It explained why they talked like that. By cutting that line out, it still leaves us asking questions. Jokes aside. Also, They don't cut them from the, Toon Disney versions. Why not in the, Cinemagic version. I'm sure there's a larger reason other than them being jokes or reusing jokes. o.o

I'm sure there's a larger reason other than them being jokes or reusing jokes. o.o Indeed. They don’t typically make cuts like that for those reasons, Belchic. Cuts are typically made when they find content objectionable or to make the episodes shorter in order to get more commercial time. I do not know what Disney Cinemagic even is, so I can’t comment on what their reasons might have been, but I sincerely doubt that they thought that the jokes were lame.

Here's another example. In Pokemon, the older episodes had scenes of Misty (Kasumi) slapping Ash (Satoshi) in the face. At least in the uncut version. 4Kids took it out becaue it was "too violent". Alrighty, 4kids.... How many times has Ren slapped Stimpy? Or June slapping Henry on KaBlam? Or various slapping in Sailor Moon (although 60% was censored)? Or slapping scenes in Animaniacs or Tiny Toon Adventures? Or OTHER slapping scenes in Pokemon? ?? It's an ACTION SHOW!!!!!!! We see violence in almost EVERY EPISODE!!!! I mean, you go and censor THIS, but of course (thankfully) you never censor almost-death scenes! And of course, don't get me started on the "donuts".........oy vey.

The 101D:TAS cuts may have been for time, you know cram in a few more commercials.

As a matter of fact, all of the Mega Man episodes were cut down too. Originally, when the cartoon ran on Fox, and then ran in repeats in syndication, all the episodes were shown in their entirety. However, when they started showing them on Fox Family, they were edited poorly, I guess some scenes were too violent and kept it from being a family-friendly show, which I thought was bullsh*t.

The 101D:TAS cuts may have been for time, you know cram in a few more commercials. Actually, A thing with, Disney Cinemagic, they don't put advert breaks between the episodes. It's usually, all the episode, Two Adverts and then other full episode. o.o Also, for Huntsman; Disney Cinemagic is one of the, Disney channels in the, UK after they replaced, Toon Disney. It began okay showing the old programs between the, 80's & 90's and it does show some, Disney Animated films too. However it has been a bit weaker lately...What with them pushing all the actual, Disney Animated Shows back to either, 6AM on weekend mornings, 10AM on weekdays (A time where nobody is likely to be watching as they're all at work) or 11PM at night, When everyone is asleep. o.O I feel that there should be a, Disney channel like...Disney Nostalgia, where it shows their old series between the 1980's to the 2000 area marks. X3 However, Time is possibly a reason...However it is only like...less than five seconds. I doubt that you can cram more adverts in within, Five seconds. o.O

Maybe we will get a network like that. I think TV nostalgia is something that just comes and goes overtime. I mean, Toon Disney was only around in the early 2000's, and then later, it went down the crapper and eventually disappeared. Cartoon Network was actually a retro station back in the 90's, showing all the classic cartoons from the 60's and 70's. So with that said, I'm sure that in a few years, we'll get another nostalgic TV station.

I recall, 4Kids cutting alot of violence. Like in that, Sonic one, there is like an episode where, Shadow goes about beating everyone up, and it actually results in, alot of characters actually bleeding. In the, 4KIds version, they remove the blood (however, if you look closely in some close ups, there is hints of red) Or in the, SA2 loop, when the annoying Chris kid tries to talk, Shadow into helping, he pushes, Chris into a wall, injuring him...And even though, Shadow answered our prayers they cut that on the, 4Kids version too. Let's just say that, 4Kids just has "soccer mothers" (The parents whom complain about every little thing on television) for censors on their channel.
Another weird edit, I notice is in the "101 Dalmatians The Series" episode, "Every Crooked Nanny". When, Cruella (as, Cranny) tries to use a vacuum cleaner, Cadpig comes close to it and switches it to, Turbo before saying "Uh Oh". In the full version of the, Episode, Cruella is suppose to bend down and check the, On & Off switch (Cadpig says, "Uh Oh" because she was hidng and doesn't want to be spotted by, Cruella) before, Rolly sneaks to the, Plug and places the, Plug within the, Socket. While this is shown on, Cinemagic version, the shot of, Cruella checking the switch and, Rolly plugging the vacuum in are absent from the, Toon Disney version (Cutting to the, Vacuum turning on and going wild as soon as, Cadpig says "Uh Oh".) I can guess that was probably cut for time, however I can tell that "It wasn't a Lame Joke!" o.o
Anyone else got any moments of editing or, explanation for one? X3

I've been checking some, Simpsons Episodes on, Channel 4. It seems to edit out every single time that they say "Screw You". You can even see the poor where they say, "Screw You" when pulling out a bat, in the edited on, they seem to have a bat jump cut out of no where. They also, don't show Weapons being used, They're okay if the weapon is used in the Shadows, However if a Gun is fired or if a Knife is stabbed in or pulled out, cut it... Even when it's essential to the PLOT! You can't censor weapons like that! Even a, FIVE Year old knows how a Knife or Gun works! O.O
I also notice something in the "101 Dalmatians The Series" episode "Twelve Angry Pups". On the Toon Disney version, When Mooch says he's innocent, the crowd are like "No Way!", and if you listen to it on, Youtube, the same audio get's repeated. However, on the Disney Cinemagic version, It has an unedited version of that, where I hear nothing wrong with it, whatsoever. Though, I think I could have heard someone saying "What an ass hole..." I could be mistaken, still, why repeat the audio. o.o

In DiC's dub of Sailor Moon, any scenes of sticking toungs out were cut. What's wrong with that? You see it on every OTHER Tv show!

I've witnessed a couple Looney Tunes cartoons that were actually edited. You can clearly tell that there was an edit, because it violently cuts you to a scene out of context. Some examples include Bugs Bunny knocking out a dog, Bugs Bunny eating sleeping pills to put himself to sleep, and Daffy saying "Shut yo' mouth!" Cartoon Network used to have a show in the early 2000's called "The Bob Clampet Show", and in this show, every cartoon that got played was uncut and showed in it's entirety.
