Toon Attack (Fanmade Block)

This isn't a real thing, but it's something I made up back in September of 1997, and I've held it with me ever since. What inspired me to come up with this was "101 Dalmatians: The Series", and I was kind of annoyed whenever it didn't show when it was scheduled. So, I was inspired to do this:

I came up with my own cartoon block, which showed some of my favorite cartoons at the time in a two-hour block. It would have aired Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (in other words: prime time). I called the block "Toon Attack". Here's what the original lineup (starting September 1997) was:

8:00 - 101 Dalmatians
8:30 - Timon & Pumbaa
9:00 - Dexter's Laboratory
9:30 - Kablam!

Like most other blocks like The Disney Afternoon and Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, the schedule for the block changed overtime. I'm going to show how each schedule changed as time went on going by month and year:

September 1998:

On September 2007, Toon Attack was officially canceled and replaced with a block called "Prime Toons", which basically showed all adult cartoons like Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, etc.

In 2010, the network that this aired on branched a new station made specifically for all the shows that aired on Toon Attack and many other animated shows from the 80's and 90's.

Interesting block, although I imagine this would come on late at night. It mainly because I don't imagine parents want kids watching shows like Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, etc.

Yeah, and that's why I had the adult cartoons come on later at night. Plus, I think the reason it would get canned is because it would recieve parent complaints about just that.

Okay, this is something that came to mind just today. I'm not sure entirely when this will launch, but I thought I'd share with you guys this new idea of mine. "Prime Toons" is a block that would air weeknights from 8:00 to 11:00, but each day of the week would show a different block of cartoons. Each one will be themed for each day of the week. The schedules would be as follows:

Adult Mondays:
8:00 - Family Guy
8:30 - The Critic
9:00 - Robot Chicken
9:30 - Aqua Teen Hunger Force
10:00 - South Park
10:30 - Space Ghost Coast to Coast

Nickelodeon Tuesdays:
8:00 - CatDog
8:30 - Rocko's Modern Life
9:00 - The Angry Beavers
9:30 - Kablam!
10:00 - Aaahh! Real Monsters
10:30 - Invader Zim

Anime Wednesdays:

Okay, something else I decided to bring to the table.

After Toon Attack's cancelation, a lot of fans have been demanding them to bring it back since it seemed like a cool block. However, the reason the network canceled it was due to low ratings. The reason why it's ratings were so low were possibly because the block aired three nights a week and showed a combination of kids' shows and adult shows. So, in the summer of 2011, an announcement had been made stating that Toon Attack will be brought back by popular demand, but it will only air one night a week (Friday) and only consist of shows for kids.

This would be the lineup for the new Toon Attack:

8:30 - Pound Puppies (2010)
9:00 - The Powerpuff Girls
9:30 - Brandy and Mr. Whiskers
10:00 - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

I've never heard of "What-A-Mess". What's that one about, bab? I'm thinking of maybe adding on to that block, like maybe in the 11:00 slot, have "Secret Files of the Spy Dogs", and then in the 11:30 slot, have "Road Rovers". Think that'll work, bab? Also, for Pound Puppies, is it the Hub's version, or the 80's Hanna-Barbara version?

For the Pound Puppies, most highly the Hub version.
I do consider adding those two, you suggest to the list though.

Is it a UK only show by any chance?

For the Pound Puppies, most highly the Hub version.

Bab, you really need to read things all the way through and very carefully. Please read it again and see where I said to put them in the schedule.

Actually, What-A-Mess has been adapted for both UK & America. Although, I'm mainly thinking of the US version.

So, I guess Rovers be the 11 Marker, although, I consider placing, The Secret Files of the Spy Dogs on the schedule, although, probably at a Pre-Ten time.

I loved Spy Dogs. That show was awesome; good mix of comedy, action and spy action so over the top in the good way. "The Dog, we know him as man's best friend. But what do we really know..."

I'd bump Beethoven for it, move up the pre-school shows a half-hour each and give it 9 a.m.


What-A-Mess was indeed adapted by both the US and UK, the US one had faster pacing and better animation though...
