I'm rooting for Dale Jr. I think it would be cool if he won it with it being ten years since his dad died. Kind of a tribute to Dale Sr.

Wait, has this even started? I could have sworn I read the other day that a guy called Earnhardt or someone won it. Premonition?

Gosh I hate posting in a thread started by Boeing.
I'm pulling for anyone and everyone with that blue oval on the front of car. Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Trevor Bayne, here's hoping any of those guys and more can put the Ford name in victory lane.

Yeah I kind of have to, two threads on this topic would be redundant and stupid. I want to talk Daytona, I love Daytona, the 500 is the biggest day of the year for me. But having to discuss it with you taints it a little.
I find your change of heart regarding NASCAR more suspect than the size of Richard Petty's engine at Charlotte in 1983 (Don't get the reference? Look it up if you're a real racefan). During your first tenure on this board you repeatedly made extremely racist remarks about my passion for NASCAR that played up every negative "redneck" stereotype of the sport. All of a sudden when Sparky let's you back on, you endlessly talk about how you want to date him and suddenly decide to "revive your interest" in the sport he likes and you're pulling for Dale Jr who just happens to be his favorite driver. That's an odd coincidence though possibly still just that, Junior is the most popular driver for a reason. The fans, new and old, all love'em.
But still my love of the 500 trumps any bad feelings I have toward you. I love this race. This is the biggest of the year for me. It is known as the "Great American Race" for a reason, NASCAR is America's most loved motorsport. If we have Europeans reading this who are F1 fans, this is our Monaco. The 500 is bigger than the US Grand Prix and currently its largely even bigger than the Indy 500. Here's hoping we have a great, safe race tomorrow. I know I'm going to do my best to enjoy it.
