So, I be watching this week's episode of "Proud Family: Louder & Prouder", and at one point, the characters are discussing a teacher of theirs called Miss Hill.
Said Teacher is not the most popular with the other students, which Maya referring to Miss Hill as "Cruella".
You notice this Homage, Pups?

So, I checked out the "Rescue Rangers" Film.
As the reviews say, Harmless Fun, it's no "Whose Framed Roger Rabbit?", but I did get a couple of laughs during the film, and a number of its ideas did intrigue me.
Though, the reason I am posting in this thread is that there are some "101 Dalmatians" Homages in the Film.
One is you see a Dog who resembles the Colonel blowing bubbles when they're in "Main Street".
While later in the film, we do get an audio cameo from Cruella, namely her laugh and her yelling "You Fools!".
So, we do have some "101 Dalmatians" Homages in there!
What other Homages come to mind, Pups?

The original "One Hundred and One Dalmatians" movie came out in 1961 before movie critic staples Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert's popular "At the Movies" TV show began. However the two did get a chance to review the film in 1991 when it was rereleased. They gave it two thumbs up (Siskel admitted he'd never actually seen it before) and here's what they had to say about it...
In a later episode they reviewed the 1996 live-action remake. Siskel gave that one a thumbs up while Ebert gave it a (marginal) thumbs down. 102 Dalmatians didn't come out until Siskel had passed away but Ebert and his new partner Richard Roeper reviewed that one, both giving it thumbs down (they thought it was a cash grab and while the dogs were cute Cruella wasn't mean enough to be a good villain).

Hey, in the “Puppy Dog Pals” episode, “Bob’s Book Club”, there’s a chicken named Maple, and I believe she was voiced by Tara Strong…and she used her Spot voice! Anyone else see that episode and notice that???

Hey, in the “Puppy Dog Pals” episode, “Bob’s Book Club”, there’s a chicken named Maple, and I believe she was voiced by Tara Strong…and she used her Spot voice! Anyone else see that episode and notice that??? funny you should bring that up Belchic. cause Maple isn't the only chicken (besides Spot) that Tara used that voice for. She also used her Spot voice to voice Penny the Chicken from Dark Deception. |

I noticed that “My Little Pony: Make Your Mark” has a running gag where Zipp records memos to herself on her smart phone. I wonder if this is intended to be a reference to Cruella’s “Memo to Myself” running gag?

I have been watching the recent “Disenchanted” Film on Disney Plus, and at one point there is a “101 Dalmatians” Homage!
That being, during the Antagonist Song, Cruella gets a name reference!
Who has seen and heard this reference, Pups!?

Ooooooooh, So the Second Season of "Proud Family: Louder & Prouder" has premiered on Disney Plus, and in one episode, the family appears to be hosting a Disney themed Party. During one scene, they go onto the Streaming Service, and this is the film that's playing!  You see this Homage, Pups!? |
