And so it ends, Jimmie Johnson's five-year reign as NASCAR Sprint Cup champion is finally over as he's mathmatically eliminated from the title hunt headed into Homestead.
I think this will be good for the sport and Jimmie. He finally started to come out of his shell and show some real personality this year which combined with no longer being the "Boring Unbeatable Hero" may make him more popular.
And now with Jimmie gone it's a two-man showdown between Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart headed into Homestead. This is going to be awesome.
