Name any rock or pop artist that you're a fan of, and I'll see if I can come up with their 10 most essential songs and make an album using those. These are basically for a basic look at that particular artist. Just for anyone who's new to the band, these 10 tracks would be a good place to start just to give a sample of their work.

I've got lists for both of those artists, but they're saved on a document on my computer right now. If I ever get a chance to sit at my computer again, I'll post those.

Alright, here's the collection for Aerosmith:
1. Sweet Emotion 2. Back in the Saddle 3. Walk This Way 4. Last Child 5. Dream On 6. Dude (Looks Like a Lady) 7. Love in an Elevator 8. Train Kept A-Rollin' 9. Angel 10. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
Now, here's the one for Metallica:
1. Enter Sandman 2. Master of Puppets 3. The Unforgiven 4. Fade to Black 5. For Whom the Bell Tolls 6. The Four Horsemen 7. Nothing Else Matters 8. One 9. Creeping Death 10. Sanitarium
So what do you think? Do you think those sets would be a good way to introduce a newbie to the band? Also, I chose the order based on how I think they'd sound best in.
So, any other artist suggestions? Also, how about trying my other topic?

Hmmm....Queen and Rush.

This one, I had to make some rearranging on. Here's Rush:
1. The Spirit of Radio 2. Tom Sawyer 3. Red Barchetta 4. Freewill 5. Subdivisions 6. The Trees 7. Fly By Night 8. Limelight 9. Working Man 10. Closer to the Heart
Queen:
1. Keep Yourself Alive 2. Killer Queen 3. Tie Your Mother Down 4. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 5. Another One Bites the Dust 6. Somebody to Love 7. You're My Best Friend 8. Under Pressure 9. We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions 10. Bohemian Rhapsody
I know I'm kind of cheating by putting 11 songs up there, but I felt it was necessary because those two songs go together and are never played seperately on the radio.
I must say, Lupus, you are quite the music enthusiast, and you seem to be willing to keep this topic active!

I honestly thought the song "2112" by Rush would be up there.
Here's another, (tell me if you'd prefer that I wait for others to list someone).
Poison

How about something on the heavier side? Black Sabbath & Led Zeppelin =)

Doing Poison and Sabbath might be a challenge since I'm not a fan of either of them, and especially since iTunes no longer has iTunes Essentials. In the meantime, I can do Led Zeppelin:
1. Black Dog 2. Rock and Roll 3. D'yer Mak'er 4. Immigrant Song 5. Kashmir 6. Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid 7. Over the Hills and Far Away 8. Stairway to Heaven 9. Ramble On 10. Whole Lotta Love

How about Wall of Voodoo and Genesis?

Never heard of Wall of Voodoo, and Genesis might be hard since they have two different eras.

I think Gotye ought to be simple, or perhaps KISS.

Okay, time for some singular musicians. What about....Elton John or Billy Joel?
