Okay, I have to get this out: Has anyone else seen this movie? It's from the late 70's. This movie is horrible! Okay, I understand, this movie is supposed to be bad. The people who worked on it were intending for it to be bad. However, this movie is not one of those "so bad it's hilarious" kinds of movies, oh no! This movie is Ninja Turtles 3 (1993) and Batman & Robin (1997) standards! It's so bad that it's BAD, and it's so embarrassing to watch that it shouldn't be seen by anyone! I don't care if it's supposed to be a joke, and I don't care if it's not supposed to be taken seriously; it's GARBAGE! It's like the games on Action 52: it doesn't care that it sucks! If you haven't seen this movie, just do me a favor and don't waste your time on it. What surprises me even more is that Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie a score higher than Santa Buddies! Seriously??? Santa Buddies has a 20%, but this movie has a 27% What is wrong with these people? They seriously think garbage like this is more appealing than the Buddies!

I did go and take this movie it on tubi a while ago.
It sucks. It really sucks.
BTW, this is how it went from being a simple B-movie to a full-blown franchise:
Another factor was the fact that CBS decided not to air the Garbage Pail Kids cartoon so Muppet Babies got to run for 90 minutes.

I also saw the sequel Return of the Killer Tomatoes.
But turns out there were more sequels than that.
Then I've that they are rebooting the franchise? I'm not really sure how that would turn out. Probably even worse than what they did in the 70s with the franchise.

I did see the 1988 sequel too, and saw that one first. It's notable for being one of George Clooney's earliest roles.
There were sequels that were made in the early 90s called Strike Back! and Eat France! which were respectively released in 1990 and 1991. Those two movies try to essentially make a live-action adaptation of the cartoon.
Apparently that reboot is still happening, as Wikipedia doesn't say otherwise.

Who the hell thought this movie was worthy enough for franchise fatigue??? What's about as weird was the fact that it was rumored that Jim Carrey was going to star!
