Who else loves the franchise? I am a fan myself, with most of the games being some of the hottest sellers. The original SNES game, the N64 game Star Fox 64, and Gamecube games Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault have all taken their place as Player's Choice titles. It has been in a funk since 2006, due to the poor reception to the Nintendo DS game Star Fox Command. I am starting this thread because at this year's E3, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that there is indeed a new game in this much-demanded game series coming for the Wii U. You can read it for yourselves here: www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/06/e3_2014_shigeru_miyamoto_confirms_star_fox_for_wii_uAnd I'll get this out of the way: I am a major fan of Krystal!

I've played The Star Fox Series and have enjoyed them myself, cool, I'll read it when I get back, I've been wondering when they will bring Star Fox to the Wii or Wii U, I hope Krystal makes a return in this new game. Edit: Got back and read the newsfeed, I find this pretty amazing.

The only game that I've truly played religiously was Star Fox 64. I've played the original Star Fox but couldn't get too far into it. I've also played a little bit of Star Fox Adventures, but it was Meh...and yes, Trey, I know you love Krystal.
The thing about Star Fox 64 that made it so memorable was the humorous dialogue.
I'm hoping Nintendo will make a new Star Fox game for the Wii U. Have it be similar to Star Fox 64 with the same type of gameplay, the same humor, and maybe even the original voice actors from that game (the new voices of Peppy and Slippy just don't sound right to me). Think we're due for that?

Belchic didn't you read the link I posted? There IS a new game coming out for the Wii U.
They spent the last six years on this new game, hopefully it will be a great game and make us forget any damage that Star Fox Command may have done.
So you guys know, Nintendo has confirmed that the only games that count thus far are 64, Adventures and Assault. The original SNES game was retconned out of existence so the franchise's true beginning is 64 (at least in the West) and due to poor sales, weak story and the fact it seems like it was intentionally screwing up the characters we knew and loved, Command was decreed non-canon.
I'm all going to say Krystal's backstory was actually very helpful in my creation of Roxy. Watch this video and you may see some connections between her in-game story and Roxy's past in her bio.

So I see a new game is coming out. My only question is will it be the way in hoping for it to be? Similar to Star Fox 64 with the same type of gameplay, the same humor, and if possible, all the original voice actors from the American dub.
I thought the original Star Fox had a really big popularity.

If they do that, I hope they bring back Krystal, I really like her, I do agree that she can have her own game though which would lead a question what would her game be about?
So from what I'm reading so far, the Star Fox Command doesn't even exist in the Star Fox Universe right? As in the story and the endings are all non canon.
I can't really say that the Star Fox on the Super NES did well or not, I've played it from time to time but that was it, the game wasn't exactly as fun as Star Fox 64, Adventures and Assault.

I can't really say that the Star Fox on the Super NES did well or not, I've played it from time to time but that was it, the game wasn't exactly as fun as Star Fox 64, Adventures and Assault. I hear you Shawn. I would imagine Krystal would probably have a prequel game about planet Sauria and what Cerinia was like before it was destroyed. And yeah because in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Star Fox characters all are in their Assault attire, so more or less the story and all those endings in Star Fox Command don't count. I did list a Random Fact about this Belchic, but in case you missed it... What I'll say is like in the early days of Sonic the Hedgehog's career his oldest games didn't have much in terms of female characters. A lot of people remember playing Sonic 1-3 and & Knuckles, but Sonic didn't really didn't have any strong female characters unless you played Sonic CD and you saw Rosy the Rascal (later Amy Rose, but that is implying you were one of the few people that owned a Sega CD). When Nintendo released the original SNES Star Fox game back in 1993 it was a hotly anticipated game. It made use of its impressive graphics through the Super FX Chip and was considered revolutionary at the time. But if you go on YouTube and watch a playthrough of the SNES game, you may find that the game does not have any female characters. Like, AT ALL. I kinda figured Nintendo was aware of this so in an attempt to get people invested in the game and give them a better idea of the characters, Nintendo Power ran a Star Fox comic that ran from February through December 1993. We did get to see all the original game characters in action, but there is a non-game character we did not know about and seems to act like she is supposed to be a character who was there the entire time: a female Cornerian test pilot named Fara Phoenix. She was supposed to be a pilot in General Pepper's army but later became a full-fledged Star Fox team member and it was suggested that she was going to be Fox's new love interest. As tempting as it was to say Fara was just made for the comics, she could very well have been canon. There was leaked gameplay footage that suggested Fara was going to be a featured character in the SNES game Star Fox 2. What I do know is for that game for sure is it would have featured a total of six Star Fox team members: Fox, Falco, Peppy, Slippy, and two female characters: a poodle named Fay and a lynx named Miyu. It was suggested that Star Fox 2 would have given this franchise the female characters it was clearly lacking. This game would supposedly been released in 1995-1996. However, because 1995-1996 was when the SNES was in decline, and no one was looking forward to a new SNES game when the Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo 64 were on the way, Nintendo canceled Star Fox 2 and got to work on a reboot game for the N64. That game was... Star Fox 64. When that game was received with critical praise and high sales, Nintendo later decided that game would be the franchise's true beginning. The original SNES game is no longer canon (well, it kinda aged like milk) and the Nintendo Power comics now don't mean anything towards the game canon. In light of this decision, Fay and Miyu were scrapped, and with them Fara Phoenix was forced to resign from her place as Fox's intended love. It didn't bother me that much though: if you actually read the comics she and Fox don't have any chemistry together and since Krystal has replaced Fara as Fox's love interest, I can't say I miss her. It's not a total wash though--some people think Miyu may continue to live on, just having served as the model for Katt Monroe, Falco's supposed love interest. Like I say if this franchise was to get something like a movie, make no mistake you will want a few major female characters.

Is there a chance Krystal may join the team and maybe even have her own Arwing?

She does, just play Star Fox Assault. Anyway, piece of music I would love to share with you guys: the music from inside the Krazoa Palace in Star Fox Adventures: Something else I will add is one person commented saying "Is it me or have I heard T.V shows actually use this." Another person said "Yes they do. In Animal Planet's "The Most Extreme" they used it a couple of times. There are other shows that use it too." Do you remember when I did my "Everyone Loves Krystal" pic how I said not to say it doesn't sound a least a bit romantic? And how the third person perspective lets you know there is indeed an identifiable fox inside the Arwing? Together with the fact it seems to emotionally invest you in wanting to save Krystal? Beautiful soundtrack, varied gameplay, relatable characters and graphics that hold up in a modern world? Star Fox Adventures is such a criminally underrated game.

I agree with you Trey, I enjoyed the game very much.
I did have trouble with the strength test though until I remembered a certain trick where you can have either a Turbo Controller, a Spoon or a pen.
for the Spoon and Pen you just rub it up against the A button.

I had once read that when the guys at Nintendo were asking people at E3 who they wanted to see in Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii, and one of their most popular candidates was Krystal. They took note of that and were in the middle of coming up with a moveset for her, but because they ran out of time and the game had to be out on the marketplace at a certain date, the game had to go without her.
I am still hoping she will be playable in the upcoming SSB Wii U game, or at least have a little figurine where she can be downloaded but I just heard this:
Krystal has been confirmed as a trophy.

Cool, she did make an appearance in SSBB, the only thing is you have to push down on the down button a lot, to hear her talk depending where you are at or who you are playing as.
