Yes this topic/question thread I made I'm specifically asking people who are Autistic or anywhere on the spectrum (Aspergers, so on.) Since I know there are quite a few members here on the spectrum, so I really wanna hear your guys' thoughts ;v;
Lately I've been going through some very rough times (please don't ask what, this isn't the place for it.) And I've found whenever I'm feeling very frustrated at something or someone, that I become 'self-injurious' without consciously telling myself to act upon it. That it basically happens without me realizing what I'm doing… as if I am being controlled by some unseen force. What happens when I go through it.. I hit myself in the face, slap my face, and punch or hit myself in the head. Usually very hard, but thankfully never hard enough to go unconscious or serious injury.
>>So I was wondering, have any of you guys experienced this behavior? Wether currently as an adult/teen, or when you were younger?
I asked a friend from IB who is also on the spectrum about this, and he says he does the same thing. But I really wanna hear more answers.. from you guys if you're comfortable with sharing.
Please do not respond to this thread if you are not Autistic or anywhere on the spectrum, it's just wasting time and isn't helpful.

I do hear some cases like this happening. Although, it may have some cases depending on certain examples. Are your family aware of this? You may need to speak with them on it.
I hope you're okay, Nemo. *Hugs*
It is somewhat difficult to explain, isn't it? =s

I do that a lot too, but when I do it, I think it's more intentionally. I often have random memories of bad or embarrassing experiences I had in the past, and that's why I do it. If only there was some way I could stop having those pesky memories.
