So it sounds like based on the scores he gave each film this year, I think I'm able to determine what his top 5 best and worst are going to be:
TOP 5 BEST: #5 - Kung Fu Panda 3 #4 - Finding Dory #3 - Moana #2 - Kubo and the Two Strings #1 - Zootopia
(Looks like Disney really had the upper hand this year!)
EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN: Sausage Party Sing Storks The Secret Life of Pets The Little Prince The Angry Birds Movie
(I'm guessing either Sausage Party or Sing will make his Honorable Mention. At this point, I'm doubting it will be The Secret Life of Pets, and even though he liked Storks better than that one, nowadays, he's saying some bad things about it claiming it to be too cartoony, so I doubt that one will make it either. The other two, even though he said some good things about both of them, he didn't like them as much as the other four. We'll see what happens next week when he posts his recap.)
TOP 5 WORST: #5 - Trolls #4 - Ratchet & Clank #3 - Ice Age: Collision Course #2 - The Wild Life #1 - Norm of the North
Overall Scores: Norm of the North: 17% Kung Fu Panda 3: 80% Zootopia: 100% The Little Prince: 60% Ratchet & Clank: 40% The Angry Birds Movie: 60% Finding Dory: 87% The Secret Life of Pets: 67% Ice Age: Collision Course: 33% Sausage Party: 73% Kubo and the Two Strings: 93% The Wild Life: 33% Storks: 70% Trolls: 50% Moana: 90% Sing: 70%

Well, I just got back from seeing Sing. It was worthwhile but nothing spectacular. In my opinion, not as good as SLP, and probably one of Illumination's weaker films, but not as bad as Hop or Minions.

I think, some thing which makes things awkward for; Sing, is that it comes in the same year as; Zootopia! It is a Film, also set in a World of Animals, but while Zootopia place a lot of ideas on how their world works, and has a Story, which works with the Animals; with Sing, it kind of feels like the Story would be the sme, even if they are Human, from what I hear.
I do hear, in some Cinem's, there is a TON of advertsing! I'll try to find the Images.
Is that the case, where you are, Pups!?

That's pretty much it bab. On Zootopia there was a consistent theme where everyone is an anthropomorphized mammal but the walks of life on Sing are not restricted to one. However in the world of Zootopia there was a world built for these characters; on Sing it's like there's not really that level of depth--you wouldn't have lost much if this world was full of humans. If you were anything less than medium sized in this world you'd never be able to walk through a door.
And yeah I did see Sing. I had my doubts before but I thought it was a pretty good movie.
And? I was correct in thinking I would like Zootopia better than Moana but I actually thought Sing was better than The Secret Life of Pets.

I don' think we have this one, on the list, but there is apparently a Film called; Ballerina? From what I see, it is a French and Canadian Animation; Though, I think it's coming to America, this year, with the name; Leap?
You hear of this Film, Pups?

I did hear about Zootopia! it is a good Film, and considering the Theme and World, it has, I think we can agre that it does deserve the Globe, this year, Eh, Pups!? ;3
Impressive, considering how they did have a year to adjust the Story, Eh?
May I ask, what is the third Film, you list there, Trey!?

Okay. We now officially have our nominees for Best Animated Feature! And they are...
Zootopia Kubo and the Two Strings Moana The Red Turtle My Life as a Zucchini
It seems everyone was right about both Zootopia and Moana making the cut, and AniMatt got most of them right with the exception of Moana.

"Zootopia" was only nominated in the animation category (not surprising but it was considering a long shot in a few others) but there were some animation nods in other categories.
"Moana" ('How Far I'll Go')and "Trolls" ('Can't Stop the Feeling') were both nominated for Best Original Song. I'd consider them both a long shot, two tunes from "La La Land" are in there and the Academy is going ga-ga for that musical this year.
Impressively "Kubo and the Two Strings" received a nomination for Best Visual Effects, the first animated film to be nominated in that category since "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in the mid-1990s. There has never been an animated film win in the category unless you count "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." It will be pitted against "Deepwater Horizon," "Doctor Strange," "The Jungle Book," and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" for the statue.
"Finding Dory" was somewhat surprisingly not nominated for anything. It and "The Good Dinosaur" make it two Pixar films in a row not to be nominated. "Sing" also did not get nominated for anything (a little surprise, it got two for original song and animated feature at the Golden Globes). "Secret Life of Pets" also got nothing.

I still don't think it's fair that they had to put two films from Walt Disney Feature Animation in the same category. Even though they both very much deserve a nomination, it doesn't seem fair on the other studios.
If you want my honest opinion, I'm predicting "Moana" is going to win for Best Animated Feature. Even though Zootopia got much better reviews and made a lot more money, if you think about it, Moana seems more like a film the academy would choose as the winner. Why do you think Brave won over Wreck-It Ralph back in 2013?

It is good that both Zootopia & Moana have nominations, for the Academy Awards! 83 Though, what surprises me is that Finding Dory didn' get a Nomination.
Could the reason for this be from how Finding Dory is a Sequel? Though, according to Shadow, Finding Dory got the award for; "Animated" Film, at the K C A.
For; Visual Effcts, I have a feeling that, either the "Live Action" Jungle Book shall get it, or Rogue One.
In the case of the B A F T A; Zootopia, Moana & Finding Dory have nominations.
What do you think the Awards shall be like, Pups? ;3
