Here’s a new game for us to play that I have been thinking about for a while. It’s Boggle, based on the game of the same name where players have to find words in a grid of lettered cubes within a time limit. Here’s how this version of the game is gonna be played. The person in control sets up a 4x4 grid of letters, and other people have to find words in that grid. On each person’s guess, that person has to give a word that’s in that grid and have all the letters in that word in that grid bolded. Each time a person makes an acceptable guess of word, they score one point for each letter in that word. Now, while you’re guessing a word, you must keep in mind that each word has to be at least three letters long, and you can’t repeat any words given on that grid, use the same “cube” twice on the same guess, use words that are in any language besides English, use proper nouns, use abbreviations, or use words that have punctuation marks in them. Also, all the letters in each word you guess have to be connected to each other in the order they spell out that word by sides and corners. The grid remains in play until 24 hours have passed without another guess. After that, the person with the most points wins the game and sets up a new grid for the next game. So, with all these rules in mind, let’s begin the first game. Here’s the grid for the first game. Who would like to go first?

Hmm, maybe having other people post the grid and have every letter in the word that they’re guessing bolded seems a bit too much, because there are people around here who don’t know how to make a grid like how I made here. So, how about each person just simply post a word in that grid, and I will post the grid with all the letters in that word bolded? Will that be okay, guys?

This game is hard, Flo. I can’t find a single word in that puzzle.

There are plenty of words here. You just have to find them and connect all the letters in each word. Benny found RAGE, and he scores four points for it. Remember, anyone can guess a word at any time. There’s no keeping turns for acceptable words.

To check, Flo; Are we allowed to use any letter, we see, or do they need to be connected or next to each other?

Like I said, the letters have to be connected to each other by sides and corners.

So, I am allowed to connect some letters in a diagonal order, Flo?
If so, I have a Seven Letter Word; "Bootleg".
Does that count, Flo?

You can only give one word at a time. You said SAD first, so I’ll have to take that as your guess. SAD is there. That’s an additional three points, bringing Benny’s score to seven points, now tied with bab for the lead.

In that case, I found BOTHER.
