hello 101 dalmatians community! at least one of the larger/currently active community i've come upon every now and then. i'm not usually a forum-goer but for times in which i feel like the best place i can share resources are just as such, i try not to be too shy about it haha.
my username is dumb but you can just call me pochi, i truly believe the original one hundred and one dalmatians film is one of disney's best and most aesthetically pleasing, and i grew up adoring 101 dalmatians the series. my reason for joining this here forum is to help contribute to the conservation of this series! i'm saddened how hard it can be to find material of the show such as promotional art, show assets, ect. i was particularly happy to hear about the series' release on itunes before i realised it was USA exclusive... i'm australian, and i had to go through an annoying amount of work arounds to actually acquire the show for myself, though i don't regret that decision!
through thick and thin i want to stand by the series and help preserve something that was so personal to myself as a child, and i really do enjoy the show in this current age too, animation and cartoons in general have been so important to me. for these reasons, i have gone out of my way to try and make the show accessible for all of those outside the US, without the funds or otherwise, to enjoy and conserve the show through ripping the show from itunes, considering it's rumored disney might be abandoning their itunes library, too.
in my searches it seems a torrent for the itunes/hq release still hasn't been compiled? i only ever see history of the old tvrip torrent, which i used to own myself, but with itunes' release of the show this has become obsolete. it may not have to be torrented either, if i can figure out how MEGA can host the "seasons". speaking of which, i plan to compile the episodes in the correct order (and i unfortunately must use a tvrip version of alive 'n' chicken/prima doggy due to it's exclusion.... it's a shame! it was one of my favourite episodes). note this would be the first time i've ever created a torrent, so there may be a little trial and error with this project. i'm unaware of any big cartoon torrent sites the show might thrive on except the basics (excluding streaming sites like kimcartoon which i will not be able to contact, sorry) would appreciate if anybody had a recommendation.
something's come up and i have to end this post here, but i will try to be back in the coming days to see if this has gained any traction, or respond to any questions, which ask away! maybe this is all too sudden/someone's already beaten me to the punch but hey, no loss in trying. i would be grateful if someone already did this better than i haha, but it would be nice to finally get this out after the money spent out of my own pocket and everybody without access to itunes/the proper tools can finally obtain the show, it would mean a lot to me. thanks for reading and i hope i can help out.
