So while I’m waiting for Disney+ and my chance to finally start watching 101 Dalmatian Street, I decided to check this show out out of curiosity’s sake.
This series debuted in Australia a year ago, and at first, I thought it was going to be a Disney+ exclusive in the US, but apparently it’s playing on Disney Junior here in the US now!
From what I gather, this is a show about a young anthro dog named Bluey who likes to play pretend with her parents and her little sister, Bingo. Usually, the dad is reluctant to play along at first, but he eventually gives in, and they all pretty much stay in character throughout the rest of the episode.
I think it’s interesting how each episode consists of three 7-minute shorts rather than two 11-minute shorts. We haven’t had a series like that since the good old days of Cartoon Network. Though, I don’t think it’s necessary for them to always play the theme song before each individual episode.
Overall, I will say, this show is cute and entertaining, but I fail to see how it’s supposed to be educational.
