Finally got to finish up Chapter 1 of this story, I didn't post it up right away, like I always did, I took my time with this one, so I can make sure there won't be any mistakes or grammars. I'm in the middle of making Chapter 2. ^^ Yay! ^^ This will be the first of the Solo Journey's for my pups that I'll be posting up, I think for future stories, I may just put the solo stories as a side story. But on with the show. ^^
A pup was watching the clouds go by as he had a full belly from eating some of his vegan Kanine Krunchies. He had two black ears, blue eyes, a green collar, spots like a regular Dalmatian and a left black forepaw and a right white forepaw and spots on his hind legs, his name was Blake. He looked and watched as the pups played in the meadow, he had a feeling that Lt. Pug's lessons had been done and over with since both TJ and Lt. Pug's lesson's happened at the same time.
The young pup smiled, he could remember the time it started raining and his siblings including TJ had to calm him down when he heard the Thunder booming. It made his heart race, thinking that they would be struck by Lightning. At that time, he was also wondering when their mother was going to get them and bring them to a new home.
Balance let him know to count after hearing the Lightning to see how far it has gotten, he knew that his siblings were on the same boat as him, they missed their mother too, but understood when Jenna told them that they had to stay with TJ for a while till she got back. Blake stretched his body and sat down on the soft patches of grass.
It was good to get some fresh air for a change after they took care of Helen and Mack, though he wondered if there were other dogs that were just like them, he walked over to a tree where he believes that Sheila would hang out, the Lab was wearing a Bandanna and sunglasses as she laid on the grass next to the tree, hoping the shade from the leaves and the tree itself would keep her away from the sun.
"Sheila?" Blake asked.
Sheila looked and saw that Blake was standing next to her. "Hi Blake, what's up?" She asked.
"Not much." Blake said to Sheila. "Just bored, there's nothing to do."
"Have you played with the other pups?" Shelia asked.
"Yes." Blake replied.
"Have you tried Roger's Video Games?" Sheila asked again.
Blake thought for a bit. "Yeah, all of them, I doubt he'll be making more anytime soon." He replied to the Labrador. "The only thing that's keeping me going is the Comics that I read."
"What comics are those?" Sheila asked.
"Super Size and Thunderbolt P.I." Blake replied.
"Super Size and Thunderbolt P.I.?" Sheila asked. It was clear that she hadn't heard of the comics, especially since she was only interested in causing pain to others along with her two allies. Thanks to Torrance, she wasn't all Chaotic and evil anymore, though she did have to go through surgery in order to walk again, thanks to Jenner.
"Super Size is a comic about a Dalmatian with the power to become gigantic, he was sent from his home planet to our own universe." Blake explained. "And now he plans on protecting Earth from the Kaiju that wants to destroy it."
"Kaiju?" Sheila asked.
Blake nodded. "Yeah, evil giant monsters that want to destroy the city." He replied. "Thunderbolt P.I. Is something both Lucky, Patch and I enjoy reading, it's where Thunderbolt is a Private Investigator."
"Interesting, Blake." Sheila spoke as she yawned. "You know, I'm sure there's other pups out there that share some common interests with you besides Lucky and Patch."
Blake looked at the road. "You mean in town?" He asked.
"Mmmhmm." Sheila responded, before closing her eyes.
Blake had never thought of that, but then again, there was Leo and Luca, he could definitely find someone that shares his ideas for adventure and fun. But was it safe to actually go out there alone? Blake didn't seem to think so as Balance and Shawn had both left the farm on their own. So what was stopping him, he looked and noticed that Sheila went off to sleep as he grinned. He ran toward the road and started walking on the grass near the side of the road. The idea of a car coming was always exciting yet scary at the same time.
Mostly because he knew that his parents warned him to never get picked up and carried off by a stranger, good or bad things could happen, you'll never know what they would tell him. But from all the movies and TV shows he's seen, he had to lean toward the bad side of being carried off somewhere.
The idea of being in the city was pretty exciting too as he ran, he knew exactly how far the city was by foot or paw, while he thought of hitching a ride, he felt that he didn't seem to care as he always thought that with a healthy body came a healthy mind.
As cars went past him, he could hear people shouting, kids telling their parents that there was a pup on the grass running, while he had to admit that he felt that the sun would go down before he made it to town, he also didn't think that he and his family could climb trees, the cats seem to be able to do it with ease while his kind would just lean their front paws on the tree and bark when they saw a squirrel. He couldn't help but feel jealous of the cats and squirrels who could climb trees.
He then wondered what other dogs could be in town that could be his friend.
-------
As soon as he made it into Town, he started searching. Avoiding the traffic, he searched the alleyways, the food joints, the marketplace, while at the marketplace, he did meet a dog that was helping a human out with seeing. To him it was pretty interesting to see a seeing eye dog for a blind human.
He'd never seen any at Topstown before but in Gruteley, it was pretty interesting. "Hot Dogs, get your hot dogs here!" A guy spoke. Blake looked and noticed that the guy had some customers next to the hot dog stand and was paying for their hot dogs.
Blake wasn't really hungry for Hot Dogs though, thinking about meat made him feel sick to his stomach, though it never stopped him from thinking about those Tofu Burgers he's heard so much about. That made his mouth water.
As he passed Ma and Pa's Grocery Store, he overheard them talking about a robbery in progress. Could it have been those two burglars that Duchess and Princess along with the other animals have been talking about? He didn't know and didn't seem to care, a part of him thought it wasn't his problem, but decided to keep an eye out for the burglar anyway, hopefully to get some reward for free.
While searching around the city, he decided to just head back to the farm. Until he heard the sounds coming from an alleyway that he hadn't checked. Blake decided to head there and check it out, just to see four dogs discussing amongst themselves as he drew closer.
