This is a pretty awesome retrospective someone recently made on Cruella De Vil. He even uses clips from the series! youtu.be/yZy8HgziAvw

I saw that video and even commented on it, it was done real well using footage from the series and 101 Dalmatian Street. not to mention they even referenced the Disney Chills novel that featured Cruella.

Ive seen the video as well and as far as the series segment, perhaps he got Cecil and Swamp Rat all wrong.
Cecil is a good person, and yet this guys dosent even give any detail on why he is "by no means a good person". But he is correct that the only reason he is evil in "Coup De Vil" is due to Malevolas scheme she wants from the whole family.
Also I wouldnt necessarily consider Swamp Rat a villian if you ask me. I mean never did he ever bully anyone or threaten to hurt anyone at the farm himself, all he did was just run scams on everyone and try to steal their significant property. And a hundred percent likely it was behind some logical explanation of his ways of trying to eek his way through life. Cydne and Steven who were on his side on the other hand, thats a different story.
And no way in hell could we consider Steven a friend despite teaming up with the pups a few times. They were only because like many times in the sereis, he had plans of his own to cause harm to the gang mainly with trying to eat Spot.
All i all though, I'm honestly surprised he didn't say anything about Pug. That jerk is definitely by all means a villian even in his own good ways.

Well, Swamp Rat is a con artist, so that kinda makes him a bit villainy. And since Cecil is related to Cruella, that kinda makes him on the villains side.

Admittingly, out of all the Devils we see in "101 Dalmatians The Series", Cecil B. Devil is probably the most "heroic" one, even if he leans more towards, at best, neutral? Though, he did also attempt to steal the Dearly Farm by unleashing a Kaiju on it in "Coup Devil" didn't he?
With Swamp Rat...he would also be considered Chaotic Neutral, too. There are episodes where he helps the Pups (for a Price), but most of the time, he is an antagonist in the Series, such as "Walk On The Wild Side", "K Is For Kibble", and "High Price Of Fame".
You Know what I mean?

That's true you guys but like I said,
The only reason Cecil did that in Coup De Vil was upon orders from Malevola within her plan to move to the countryside at the Dearly Farm, appalling Cruella. Also, he dosen't seem to take a liking for Cruella as a sibling that much especially when he states after Cruella mentions about finally having the Dearly Farm that it is really not that big a deal.
And yes Swamp Rat may have done some villiany things but never really by any means assault anyone at the Dearly Farm. And yes bab in these cases he can be considered an antagonist by being some trickster con artist but a villian per se, not really to an extent. Like I said, it was very likely some logical way of him trying to get by in life, and his henchmen at the Swamp apparently seemed to have even worse plans of their own in some cases

I mean, with Swamp Rat, there are several episodes where he does attempt to eat several characters, such as "Frisky Business" and "Lobster Tale", as well as how he stole from the Chow Tower several nights in a row in "K Is For Kibble", which did put the Dalmatians and Dearly Farm at risk.
Like I post, Swamp Rat is Chaotic Neutral. Granted, while the Canal Crew in "101 Dalmatian Street" can be Chaotic Neutral too, they still leaned more towards Chaotic Good most of the time, while Swamp Rat, not as much.
Swamp Rat might provide the Pups with something, but he will make note of the large tab they may run up with him and will be willing to take payment in tray! You Know what I mean?

Yeah I can see your point there Bab. And I've never really seen 101 Dalmatian Street especially considering I'm not really a Street fan myself but, your logic on the Canal Crew is certainly spot on.
And oh ya, I almost forgot about those two Swamp Rat episodes you mention so I can see where that goes.
