This is a math-based game based on Pinpoint, the fifth round of a UK game show called 1000 Heartbeats.
Here’s how the game will be played here. The person in control will give a list of ten, eleven, or twelve numbers with one or two digits each, with some of those numbers in two or three different colors, and they must ask four questions, one at a time. The questions can’t have any of the numbers in them unless they refer to a specific digit in any of those numbers, such as “Add all the numbers ending in zero”; otherwise, the questions must have the numbers referred to by color, even or odd, smallest or largest, or any combination of these. Examples of such questions are “Subtract the smallest orange number from the largest purple number”, “Multiply the two smallest numbers”, and “Add the remaining numbers”.
Speaking of the last example, the last question in a set should always ask to add or multiply the remaining numbers.
Now, on each question, the person who is answering must find the numbers according to what’s being asked, do some math with those numbers, and post the answer. If they’re right, they keep their turn, and the person in control of the round removes the numbers relevant to the question from the list and asks the next question. But if the person answering is wrong, they lose their turn, and another person gets to answer.
The first person to clear the list by answering the fourth and final question correctly wins the round and gets to set the next round.
So, here’s the list of numbers for this round:
- 37
- 14
- 6
- 22
- 5
- 19
- 41
- 33
- 18
- 26
Question #1: Subtract the smallest orange number from the largest pink number.
