Funnily enough I was going to post about this movie today, mostly because Disney keeps airing commercials about the new movie. My sister thinks it looks like a flop, but I commend them with at least coming up with some rational, natural way to have them gain their powers. Not that I don't think this looks bad, because this does not look like the best movie in the series, and the fact that they changed the voice actors of Budderball and Rosebud to two of Disney's "stock" actors really gets under my skin.
I do agree about how each power fits each puppy and their individual personality. That I at least think is pretty good, and it's nice to know which each one is, since commercials only give a fleeting glance at which pup has what power.

That looks great! I really like how you were able to combine the appearances we've found. I think that can be used as our "permanent" image of her thanks again for doing that, Bab! I love it.

This one sounds really fun! I think I'd want to use Josh for this one, and maybe one of my two Goldenmations, most likely Abril.

Not completely shy, but a little cautious to approach and reserved before warming up, I would say. I established it as part of the reason why she doesn't approach Lucky right away, because she's a little too nervous to do it. Again, it was a more prominent factor I used on the human role-play sites.

I know, you jump to protect her so fiercely- but who's to say that she wouldn't get that kind of development? I'd really prefer not to press on the matter at the moment as it's super late here and I really, really need to go to bed, but I just feel like seeing her relationship established with Mooch, even with the mere traits of her being familiar with him at the beginning of "Love 'Em and Flea 'Em" ought to mean something. I see them having a love-hate relationship, and given the fact that she's seen with him sometimes and other times she's gone, it's very plausible. You even see her struggling over whether she's attracted to him or whether she wants to call him out as guilty in "Twelve Angry Pups", which, to me, implies something. But once again, I guess we'll never know.
But anyway, let's get back on topic, shall we?

The personalities of Lucky and Gay are similar, not exactly the same. There's such a difference there. It's true that the other puppies have individualized personalities, but who's to say that Gay was identical to Lucky? At least with my interpretation of her I try to make her different enough that she's set apart from him (such as with a slight shy side to her, an interest in learning and literature, a rational side to her), and yet retains some qualities similar to his (cleverness, quick wit, ect.). And as I keep saying, who's to say that the creators even knew about Gay in the first place? As great as I think it would be to see her have a canonical appearance (and as much as I hate to admit this), I know it won't happen anytime soon, mostly because of how largely forgotten she was across the board. The creators probably knew of her, that's a possibility, and yet they probably didn't. There's also enough to set Gay apart from Two-Tone personality-wise (Two-Tone is flirty, Two-Tone is indecisive, Two-Tone tends to hang around with Mooch and his group which shows that she does have somewhat of a mean streak to her), which most likely means that Two-Tone isn't the series version of Gay, just Lucky's one-note "date," sister, and a background character for the rest of the series.
I someday hope to somehow or another make some form of contact with an ex-member of the crew of the show, as ridiculous and outlandish as that sounds. I have so many questions for them about this situation it isn't funny.

The name is a pretty easy issue to fix, though. There are plenty of substitutes out there that retain the same meaning.
Either way, it was one episode and like I said, I think they just needed one character for one episode, and Two-Tone was their pick with no relation to the novel. Even though the first movie is adequately accurate to the novel, I think they forgot about the novel's sequel when trying to come up with ways to enhance the franchise, as there are no references to "The Starlight Barking" aside from the fact that Cadpig made it into the series (which could have easily been plucked from the original novel, I may add) that I know of.

Saturn burrowed herself in her hoodie, finding herself getting drowsy. She placed her Coke can in the cupholder next to the carseats, opening her bag of chips and taking a pawful, munching away as she tried to stay awake to watch her movie. Appette checked the GPS once more, and then their gas meter, noticing that it was on the lower side.
"We might need to stop for gas soon, Saff." Appette stated, and Saturn responded with a slight nod. "Hey," Appette observed, adjusting her rearview, "maybe if we stop, we can meet up with the other pups that we're going on the road trip with! That sounds pretty fun, doesn't it?" Saturn shrugged slightly, shifting her paws and struggling to keep herself from falling asleep. Appette shrugged, slightly disappointed that her observations were being fallen on deaf ears, and continued to keep going.

I'd highly doubt it, and that's on a standpoint aside from the fact that I don't like LuckTone. I really don't know how familiar the crew of the series was with the novels to begin with, and the odds most likely are that they plucked Two-Tone out of the bunch more for the reason that they needed a love interest for him for one episode rather than the fact that Lucky had a mate in the book and they wanted something to represent that.

I think it looks close enough to be her :3 I know the pups in the Series have a drastically low amount of spots on them as opposed to the movies, so I think this will do the trick! Thank you so, so much Bab!

So, uh, I started drawing yesterday. Just Clayton, because I was thinking about a few things that had happened a few years ago, and how he drew me nice art and I've never been able to return the favor. And then, I started to draw another pup, and another, and then this happened. It's a bit big, just as a warning. I can't find a way to shrink it down. In the top row are Clayton, Bishop, and Saturn and Appette. In the second row are Lucky, Shadow, Gay, and Cadpig. In the third row are Lupus, Flo, Kit, and Nemo. On the bottom are Roxy, Rolly, Spot, Rebecca, Belchic, Two-Tone, and RoseVee. Enjoy!

Double-post, but I was able to find a sufficient appearance. While she doesn't have the spots on her chest, that's okay, because she looks close enough to her to suffice. and a view from the back

Oh that would be great, thanks!
Hm...I feel like she'd be a little cautious approaching him, maybe annoyed by his stubborn attitude and foolishness? After a proper introduction I think they would begin to warm up to one another, with her not hesitating to save his hide if he does something stupid enough to put himself in danger.
This was something I played with in an AU version with Rebecca, but I think the two would also compete between each other to see who's the better leader, though I feel like eventually they'll put their differences aside and go as a team, with the amount of time spent together as partners in adventuring leading to something more.
