I don't really have a lot of faith with that movie for a few reasons. I remember back when I was reading an issue of GamePro back in the summer of 1995 they were doing an interview with Christopher Lambert and he did say he felt an advantage that Mortal Kombat was going to have when we were going to get the first movie was it was going to have a strong, focused plot with characters that feel well-developed. There was also the idea that because it was an American game that was being adapted into an American movie, a lot less translation was necessary as opposed to trying to take a Japanese game and try to make it into an American movie. If they were to do something like... Earthworm Jim? That could have worked. Because like Sonic he does have a goal that he wants to attain while feeling like he's a character with a solid personality. You have something solid to work on and makes for a movie that will be worth time and effort. The problem with trying to take Super Mario Bros. and trying to turn it into a movie is it doesn't have a concrete plot and Mario was always sort of a static character. It serves a background where you're trying to save a princess from a turtle-dragon hybrid but you're playing the game because it's fun, not because of things like plot twists or character development. I also recently re-watched the old DIC cartoons that were made from the late 80s/early 90s and they definitely don't hold up. I bet it will make money, being that it's Mario and Illumination is a studio that gets a lot of good publicity. If it turns out to be good anyway, well great and I stand corrected, but I'm not having high hopes for it. And then there is also this: www.thegamer.com/mario-movie-charles-martinet-chris-pratt-recast-tara-strong/?fbclid=IwAR08pjMhLTBtphoWgUHRtdu-FiSSJ_Jvb1dUZR2XbhtvCKH983xQarOlFrI

I honestly still don't believe they're not only trying again, but the suits at Nintendo are letting Hollywood have another go with that. The Mario franchise is built on fun, not story or characters.

Random Fact #4500:
If you want to be president in the United States, one rule states that you must be at least 35 years of age.
The reason why this rule was put into place was in an attempt to curb the country being run by father-son dynasties.

In light of his recent passing, I'm listening to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPO76Jlnz6c(Normally I would post the video itself, but I'm just leaving you the link for tobacco depictions)

I've been reading about that new Pinocchio movie and I've heard that it's no good. None of the reviews I've seen or heard have too much nice to speak about it. In fact, I have it's RT score as critics average it 27% and audiences say 30%.
Critics' consensus:
Visually dazzling but soulless, the largely inert Pinocchio reaffirms that you should always let your conscience be your guide… away from unnecessary remakes.
Audience consensus:
Just watch Disney's original Pinocchio instead.

Omg ikr Trey? Regarding the Simpsons, they think Mickey Mouse such crossovers are necessary upon rights that Disney owns the Simpsons? That's way beyond me! Overall, Disney seemingly is taking over practically everything Totally. They are taking the show and turning it into a big corporate shill. All these crossovers, well I say it's one thing to see someone's drawing on DeviantART or something where it's meant to be parody, but all that they're doing with it is taking this series and completely selling it out. In the meantime, I got my popcorn and soda and I'm ready for my movie. Wish me luck guys.

I've been binging on my new Disney+ account and I gotta say I like it so far. Really like it.
There's all the animated films that exist towards their canon, side projects that are also very popular, shorts, holidays specials, that's well worth it for me.
Then there is also the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, the Pixar movies, the Muppets movies, the Star Wars movies, their cartoon series that they made starting with the Disney Afternoon... definitely a good thing to have.
Then again, there is also some stuff that Disney got in their purchases, like what they now own due to the fact they now own 20th Century Fox and all the Blue Sky movies. I'll say right now, I just HATE what they are doing to the Simpsons.
Still happy with what I have. My movie for tonight is the new Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers!
