Have you ever wondered if the Pound Puppies are real?
Well, when I first got my dog at the pound when she was a puppy and after I started watching Pound Puppies, I often wondered if they were real and if they did their job at finding my family for her. Well, I heard a story on the radio driving to work today, and it made me tear up. I'm now starting to believe the Pound Puppies are real! I'll explain why, because this is a true story:
A little boy walked into a pet shop and asked how much it was to adopt a puppy. The store owner said $50-$100. The boy only had just over $2, but he asked if he could look at the puppies. The store owner called out a dog who had a litter of five puppies. One of the puppies was limping. The boy asked why he was limping. The store owner said that the puppy was born with a hip infection. The boy said he wanted to buy the puppy. The store owner declined and offered to give him to the boy for free, but the boy insisted that he'd pay for it with his weekly allowance until the puppy was all paid for. The store owner said he didn't think the boy would want the puppy since he wouldn't be able to run and jump like other puppies. Then, the boy showed the owner that he also had a disabled leg.
After hearing that story, I was really moved, because it reminded me of the Pound Puppies' motto: "There's a pup for every person and a person for every pup." I'm really starting to believe that the Pound Puppies are real! Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I can dream, can't I?

I'm still not sure what to think about the status of this show. Wikipedia says it's canceled, but imdb says it's still in production. I won't believe anything until I hear someone from the cast or crew confirm it, or if I start seeing new episodes airing on the Hub.

Hey guys! How does this sound for an episode plot?:
Lucky has a plan to get a pup adopted. He had the plan all figured out overnight, but it turns out everyone else on his team was too busy to participate. They each had more important things to do. Frustrated, Lucky decides to do it all by himself and modify it so it'll work for just him. It takes him all day to get the pup adopted, and that night, when he finally returns to the pound, it turns out the dogs from Shelter 17 have thrown a surprise party for Lucky because it was his birthday!
Think that might make an awesome episode?

Hey guys. I've been working on adding memorable quotes to the episodes of this show on the imdb page. If anyone has any quotes they love from any specific episode, please let me know.
I am aware that not many people on this board watch this show. I did PM bab, Two-Tone and General, but they haven't suggested anything to me yet. The only other person here who watched this show (at least that I know of) is Race, and I can't PM him since he doesn't have an account.

Guys, I hate to break the bad news to you, but I'm starting to think that Pound Puppies has a very strong chance of cancelation.
First of all, nobody has confirmed that the show has been renewed for a fourth season. If it was, we definitely would have heard something by now.
Second, the other day, I looked at the Hub's Saturday morning schedule, and Pound Puppies is only coming on at 4:30 a.m. Sounds to me like they've officially given up, and now the show is on the last ends of it's toes.
On top of that, I think the show's Wikipedia page is in need of a major update. Somebody made some edits to it providing false information, plus it sounds like whoever made those edits is someone who is taking ESL courses. For one thing, it says the show is popular. That's a flat out lie! The show never was popular, at least not in comparison to most other shows on the Hub.
Now before ANY of you even THINK about saying something like: "Belchic, stop trying to start drama! Can't we just enjoy the show for what it is?" First of all, I am NOT trying to start drama! Second of all, yes you are allowed to like it. Just because I say the show is not popular, that doesn't mean you're not allowed to like it! I've said this A MILLION TIMES, and I just can't seem to stress it enough to you!
Anyway, like I've said before, even if it does get pulled from the lineup, I'm sure it will surely not be forgotten. I'm sure Hasbro will give the series a DVD release. Heck, a lot of the episodes are on DVD right now; they're just not full seasons; just individual DVDs containing 4 or 5 episodes a piece, or they are bonus features on MLP DVDs.
Well, that's all I gotta say.

It was pretty obvious this show was over. That last episode had all the hallmarks of a good finale. I had a good run but the time has come to move on.

Your opinions DO NOT constitute fact. Having seen the Hub's ratings this show did well. It wasn't a killer app like the equines but that's not to say it didn't succeed. A silver medalist is still winning at the Olympics.

Here's an idea that might intrigue you guys. I doubt Hasbro would even consider doing this, and I doubt it'll do well, but what if they made...a LIVE ACTION Pound Puppies movie? It would basically be like a typical Pound Puppies episode, but it will be feature length and live action.
The dogs will all be real dogs with digital speaking voices (like the Buddies movies), and Eric Macormick, Yvette Nycolle Brown, John DiMaggio, Alana Ubach and Michael Rapport will all be reprising their roles providing the voices of their respective Pound Puppies.
The human characters will be played by live actors, but not the people who voiced them on the show.
I'm thinking for Leonard McLeish...I'd like to see Howie Mandell play that role.
Olaf I would definitely like to see played by John Ratzenberger.
As for Agatha...If Betty White is still living and still capable of acting, then she could play Agatha. Otherwise, I'm not sure who else could play her.
If they're going to put Jerry in the movie, if like to see George Clooney play him...either him or Steve Martin.
What do you guys think?

sounds like an interesting idea, whom would you get to do the super secret pup club members? (Rebound, Cupcake, and Patches) maybe toss in the Kennel Kittens as well

Hmm. I don't know if we'll put them in unless they decide to make a sequel. The Super Secret Pup Club, maybe, and have their VA's reprise their roles, but they'll have smaller parts, and if it's just one of them, it'll most definitely be Rebound.

If it's not animated I wouldn't want to see a movie at all. Live-action talking dog movies don't work when you make the dog talk with a movie mouth, that just looks creepy (compare the Homeward Bound films which were pretty good to CGI-fueled stuff like Underdog, Marmaduke, and the Cats & Dogs films).

Who else is a fan of this show. I know I am, and so is Two-Tone, Race, bab and General. But who else on this board is a true fan?

I often wondered if Pat Benetar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" would be Cookie's perfect theme song.

Hey, guys. You might be excited to hear this.
I just happened to catch a rerun of "Will & Grace" on TV. For those who don't know, that show was the sitcom Eric MacCormick (the voice of Lucky) was most known for. His voice in that show was a little bit higher than it was on Pound Puppies; understandably, that show was around ten years earlier than Pound Puppies, but still, I was totally able to hear Lucky's voice coming out of him! I think he even had the same personality!
Did I mention that I found each voice actor of the main dogs suited each character perfectly?

Who did Eric play in Will & Grace?
I know McLeish is played by Odo from Star Trek; Deep Space Nine and I think Sheldon from Big Bang Theory played that one who wanted to take ovr the Pound, right?
