My apologies if any of you have conflicting views, and apologies+prayers if anybody you know/knew was affected by the Orlando shooting. This next post is not meant to be a drama post nor a attention seeking post, Im just really cheesed off and need to vent to my vent thread and any of yall who care to read this. Also I apologize to any of your ears that burn after you "hear" what I have to say, Im really riled up right now so Im likely going to be flinging cusses out my anus (which is a rare occurence, if you know me well enough you can vouch for that)
So I just saw a video of a Sacramento "pastor" who blatantly was telling his congregation not to mourn the victims of the Orlando shooting. He said and I quote "What if you asked me, hey are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today? Um, no I think thats great. I think that helps society! You know I think Orlando Florida is a little safer tonight! The tragedy is that more of them didnt die! I mean the tragedy is- Im Im Im, Im kind of upset he didnt finish the job!" Urrg I may be a Quaker, and I may be a pacifist, and I may try to be a Godly man, but I reeaaaaalllly want to slap that guy across the face. In all honestly I wouldnt mind punching his teeth in either but that wouldnt do much more than a slap, and a slap is more demeaning than a punch anyway. NOBODY and I mean NO-****ING-BODY has the right to say that somebody DESERVED to ****ing DIE. As a human being this sort of action hurts me to my core, and as a Christian it pisses me off. TRUE Christians do not act in such a manner. TRUE Christians love all people despite their actions and/or lifestyle. A common Christian saying goes "Hate the sin, not the sinner" But even then you are still being a insultive prick in this situation. It is not for us as humans to decide that homosexuality is a sin. Rape is a sin yes, hate the sin not the sinner (heck in that situation I still hate the sinner, with a passion) Theft is a sin, hate the sin not the sinner. But homosexuality, transgender identity/surgery, etc. are not for us to say that they are sins. Literally the only references of homosexuality in the Bible are in Sodom when a couple men tried to rape a messenger on his way to deliver a message to Lot, and in Leviticus when it says men who lie with other men like with women are both guilty of some bad action. The only other times it is mentioned are in the context of rape, indecency to your marriage, and other things that break the 10 Commandments. Homosexuality does not harm anybody- it is between 2 or more consenting people, it doesnt affect your life if two grown men or women decide to date and/or have sexual relations. It doesnt affect your life if a person born as a man or woman feels that they were born in the wrong body and makes strides to have the body that they feel comfortable in. Its none of your God dang business! Nobody is forcing you to have relations with the same sex. Nobody is forcing you to change YOUR body to fit THEIR thoughts on how you should look. No. True Christians love and accept EVERYONE regardless of their past, regardless of their present, regardless of their future. We do not preach hatred. We do not condemn the dead, or the living. We do not play at God and say who does and does not have a right to live. And we sure as hell do not celebrate the loss of FIFTY HUMAN LIVES. "Pastor" Jimenez you and people like you sicken me to my core. You are the kind of people that I feel would look at Jesus (who you sure as heck need!) and spit in his face. Because that is EXACTLY what you are doing you bigots! You spit on everything that Jesus taught, you spit on every word of love and compassion that he left for us and directed us to share with others and told us to show others in our own actions. You spit on Christianity and all of the people who follow it. And you sully the good name of Christians with your words and actions. If you want to preach hatred, do not do so from under the name of Jesus Christ. Do it under your own name because you are not speaking for Jesus, you are not speaking for God, nor for any true Christian- you are only speaking for yourself. Fifty people DIED the other day. Some of them were gay. Some of them were straight. Some were bisexual, some asexual. Some were black, some were white. Some were hispanic, some asian. Some were cisgender, some were transgender. Some were multigender, some genderclear. Some were any combination of the above and even things not mentioned. But one thing EVERY. LAST. ONE. Had in common: THEY. WERE. HUMAN. BEINGS.
God loves everybody. Every human created on this earth is his son or daughter regardless of race, creed, identity, life choices, or lifestyle. He is the almighty parent and loves every last one of his children no matter what. And as his children it is our job to love one another in the same fashion and bigots like "pastor" Jimenez are a problem that needs to be weeded out. "Pastor" I pray that your eyes will be opened and that you will eat your words, as my middle school history teacher used to say- without ketchup or barbeque sauce.
