So by any chance, did anyone see today's 2-part episode?
I think I can safely assume that this was the season finale. In fact, I'm pretty sure the show is over for good. The episode served as a perfect grand finale for the series, and I don't really see how they can go much further with this show now.
If anyone has evidence that it's been renewed for a fourth season, though, then I stand corrected.

This series still seems to be very popular. I don't know why they would drop the axe on the show just like that.

My DVR does not show any upcoming new episodes anytime soon. Besides, the LPS page on Wikipedia hasn't been updated since last August, so I have no way of knowing what's to come! And Like I said, the last 2-part episode served as a perfect series finale.

Did someone directly tell you the show is ending? I am not seeing any news about the show's cancelation on Toonzone.net.
Besides I remember seeing one episode of American Dad! which was about Stan Smith having to fight an Audrey 2-like hot tub which was planned to be the series finale but then the show got renewed.

I was on Wikipedia and this is what I just read: On March 31, 2015, it was announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth season.

Ok, this is ridiculous! What more can they possibly do with this show? I was starting to lose interest in this show while the third season was nearing its end. It's already gone past the 65 episode limit, and now it's been renewed for another season? What do LPS and MLP have that keep it going so long that Pound Puppies doesn't?

What do LPS and MLP have that keep it going so long that Pound Puppies doesn't? It's kinda like this... While the shows Hasbro is responsible for are all merchandise driven, they have different aesthetics about them. Shows like G.I. Joe: Renegades and Transformers Prime are boy-targeted cartoons and made to sell action figures. That has a strong focus and something that you don't have to be a child to appreciate. Shows like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Littlest Pet Shop are girl-minded cartoons and made to sell plastic figurines. Again, another strong focus and finds appeal to both it's intended audience and its unintended audience. Pound Puppies is kinda the odd one out. It's a gender-neutral show and made to sell stuffed animals. A focus like that is just vague and stuffed dolls are something you'd only really buy for a small child. Without revealing too much, that's only one answer why Pound Puppies stopped once it hit 65 episodes.

That may be, Trey. But despite that, Pound Puppies did have acceptionally high ratings, and a lot of the episodes are on DVD. Though I do agree that merchandise for that show is extremely scarce; Toys R Us doesn't carry the plush toys anymore, and the Cookie plushie seems to be completely out of stock everywhere on the Internet!
Anyway, back to LPS...

Well you kinda brought it up...
Anyway if you guys don't know Jenn Blake, she's actually done some artwork about this series on her DeviantART account.

Well you kinda brought it up... Anyway if you guys don't know Jenn Blake, she's actually done some artwork about this series on her DeviantART account. Well, there is no doubt in my mind that this show does have a seemingly large fan base, but it's still nowhere near as big as MLP:FIM. I still don't see what more they can do with this show. Unlike MLP, which has endless possibilities for plots and new in-depth characters, LPS seems to be pretty much the same thing over and over again with very predictable characters. I can see that they are trying to rival MLP with their songs, one-shot dark horse characters, similar voice actors, and other elements, but still, MLP clearly has the upper-hand. This is the problem Ed, Edd n Eddy had. Despite being a very popular show, it was basically the same thing over and over again with very predictable characters making it a very shallow series. During the last two seasons, they tried to change up the series by having the kids go to school, but that caused its popularity to plummet leading it to its cancelation. Of course, EE&E was not by any means a merchandise-driven show, but I'm sure LPS will eventually meets its demise when it tries new things that try to rival the success of MLP. right now, they're already trying too hard.

I still am having a hard time accepting the fact that this show is getting another season. Here are some things you need to consider about the show:
1. It's repetitive. 2. The characters are predictable. 3. It doesn't have the same appeal to male audiences that MLP has. 4. It's already gone past the 65 episode limit. 5. The last season finale 2-parter served as a perfect finale for the series. 6. They've pretty much exhausted every cartoon cliche in the book with this series.
So there you go. Now before any of you say, "If you don't like the series, don't watch it," don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I hate the series, and I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying that I don't know what more they can possibly do with this series, as it has started to wear out its welcome, and it seems to be at a point where PP and MLP fans would feel alienated when they watch it.

Well in any case it will have at least 100 episodes to its credit just like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic so that's the second Hasbro series to do that.
