Now, Recently I have been practicing on this new style of Colouring. Whilst I think the “Spying On Cookies” pic came out beautifully because of it, I am still debating on what to do for Colours personally.
We have the Usual way I colour, like with some Black Lines, as shown here…
And here we have the Cookies Picture, I have recently uploaded to show this newer style of Colour. As you notice, it’s a bit similar to how characters are often colours in MLP:FIM, with the Lines being a darker shade of the being or item that they surround.
What I ask is whether I should…
Stick to keeping the Lines Black. Try this new colour scheme (may try a Trial Period of doing my pictures like it though). Or Compromise, like say; Keep Black Lines for Normal Pictures, however try the Alternate Colouring System for Special Occasions or something like that.
What do you think then, Pups? =3

I'm not sure if it's my poor vision or something else, but to me both pictures look pretty much the same style wise ^^;

Look close at the Cookie one.
You will notice like say, the normal Body lines for the Dals are Grey, or their Collar lines are a darker shade of the collar's colour. Or look at the tounges.
It's a bit like how the characters are coloured in, MLP:FIM.
See it now, Chels? ;3

You know my opinion. They look the same in quality to me. I think you should just do whatever you feel like doing. It is your art. You are the one that has to do it.

I think the difference between the two is the thickness of the outline, they both look okay to me, there's no real difference but the thickness... and in the second pic, there are some pups that seem to be glowing, or should I say, "standing out"...

I've said it three or so times before, it's the "Colour" of the Lines that is different, not how thick they are. ^^;
Take a closer look instead of a glance and you will see it, Can you? ^^;

I personally like the second one better. I think it suits your drawing style better, and in addition, the coloring looks great; it reminds me of an illustration from a children's book.

I believe it's "Technique", not "Technic".

I must say, I like the black lines better than the colored lines.
