When I look at those Turtle designs, it reminds me of what the Goomba's looke like in the Super Mario Brothers Film! The trailer here just makes it look too much like a Dark Knight want to be! And I'm really unsure of the Ninja origins here. Isn't almost every interpretation of the Turtles claim they were an accident and not made by a Lab to fight Crime? Although, to add to Race's comment, CGI Destruction Heavy, but you could say that about every Micheal Bay film, Can't you? Yep, the comics, TV series and the past films actually mention this, but in the film don't you get the vibe of the Incredibles Film's work in this, I mean think about this, The Shredder and April's father created the Turtles to fight the crime in NY City? Isn't that what Syndrome did in the Incredibles Film?
True, but at least Michael Bay's not going with the turtles being aliens in the film, however Shredder being an Alien is unknown. The fans spectate that Shredder is an Alien like he was in the 2003 Series of the TMNT though, all I can say is, we'll wait and see.

TMNT is kind of off-topic here. Shouldn't we get back to animated films?

Whilst it may not be set for this year, Just learnt that next year, we'll be getting a Snoopy Movie. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1FNL_iIp5cThey're even using the Music from the old specials. Looks like it's close to the material. Wonder what this will be like?

Okay, I haven't seen any of the animated films of this year yet, but these are what I think the Best and Worst of this year are going to be based on my expectations:
Top 5 Best: 5. The Book of Life 4. Rio 2 3. The Lego Movie 2. How to Train Your Dragon 2 1. My Little Pony: Rainbow Rocks
Top 5 Worst: 5. Big Hero 6 4. Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return 3. The Box Trolls 2. Home 1. Planes: Fire & Rescue

We did get Rio 2 this weekend. The critics are very evenly split on it.
I did happen to see the movie for myself and it's... okay. Nothing special but it's okay.
Anyway, here's what AniMat had to say about it:
The Story: 3/10 The Animation: 10/10 The Characters: 5/10 The Songs: 7/10
Rio 2 (2014): 6/10 - Decent!
And yeah, that "Almost Home" rears its head again. It looks like a jokes over story film and doesn't look like it's for anyone but kids.
What I felt was a bit of a problem was it just tries to do so much in terms of plot and there's far too many characters. But while AniMat says it's nothing special, he says would still take it over another Ice Age.
Speaking of which, there is an Ice Age 5 coming.

Had a feeling it would be Joke ovr Plot. That is often a trope of Joke ovr Plot Films as well; they spend so much time on jokes, they forget about the plot, so they fill it with somewhat pointless sub stories and characters to pad out the running time.
Seriously? A FIFTH ICE AGE!? This is getting ridiculous! Is it going to wind up like M.A.S.H. where the Ice Age Films wind up lasing longer than the actual Ice Age that they’re set in!? Why can’t Blue Sky just come up with more ideas outside of the two or three they have!? Say what you will about Pixar making so many sequels at this time, but at least that was going on for fifteen years before they started making almost nothing but sequels, right?

Judging by what AniMatt had to say about it, it doesn't sound convincing enough for me to go see it.
A fifth Ice Age, huh? When he gives his initial thoughts on that, I hope he says, "STOP, ALREADY!"

Personally, I'd rather see, say, a Toy Story 4, or a SEQUEL to Monsters Inc. than a 5th Ice Age.
Although, in regards to Rio 2. I'd be willing to see that....mostly because I liked the first one and I am SUCH an adorer of birds. ^^; Also, given the fact Animat classified Nigel as an 'over-the-top Shakespeare villain' makes me want to take a closer look at what he does and says in the film cuz in trailers all I recall is, "We attack on the midnight hour.....because it's more evil." On a side note regarding the film, Bruno Mars stars in it, as one of the new male Macaws, (far as I know, an old flair of Jewel, as in Jewel from the 1st Rio).

"The Nut Job" is already out on DVD. I guess it must have been really bad considering how quickly it got there. Not to mention how quickly it was pulled from theaters.

Surprised that it’s on DVD, so quickly. In the UK, Escape From Planet Earth has only been released on DVD about a month ago, and that’s almost a year after it was in Cinema’s. It does somewhat support the “January is the Weak Month for Cinema” thing, doesn’t it?

That's kind of stereotyping, isn't it? I'll have you know that 101 Dalmatians was a January release, so does that make it bad?

I just saw a trailer for Legends of Oz. Now, I'm starting to have serious doubts about it!

Yeah, I did gain a lot of doubts from the Trailer that I saw. I heard that Kelsey Grammar is suppose to be the Tin Man, but from the trailer that I saw, I don't think he had any lines!
I mean, there are a ton of great voices in the film, I mainly concern on the story itself. Don't you? =s

A lot of great voice talent does not necessarily equal a great film.

Speaking of Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, the movie just came out in theatres.
Belchic and I both had doubts that movie was going to be any good, partly because it just seems like any time contemporary filmmakers want to go back to L. Frank Baum's story, they just fall flat.
On Rotten Tomatoes the movie is looking bad. Really bad. As of right now it's score is 15%!
I guess we just can't hope to touch the Judy Garland film, right?
