I’m not sure if you guys heard, but it was just announced last week that the live action remake of The Lion King is getting a sequel. Strangely, I’m not surprised that this is happening. I actually saw this coming from a mile away!
And before any of you say anything...No, it is NOT going to be a live action remake of “Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride”. From what I hear, it is going to be more of an origin story centered around Mufasa. So it sounds like they’re going in the same direction with this as they are with the upcoming Aladdin sequel and making something completely original.

I did hear they were planning a Prequel to the “Live Action” Lion King, and if it is about a younger Mufasa, I assume this may lead to seeing how Scar gets his scar, or meeting the Hyenas?
I admit, part of my issue with the “Live Action” Lion King is that it kind of felt redundant, since there was no actual difference in the Story, at most, it felt like they put the Deleted Scenes from the “Animated” one back in!
Post what you will on the other “Live Action” Disney Films, but there is, at least, some differences with the Story!
So, with this one, I am intrigued to see what the Story for the Prequel may be like.
You think they may look to Tie-In material, for inspiration for the Prequel Story, Pups!?

Well with that coming, I wonder what it'd be like if they did a live-action Zootopia...?

I am curious how they would try doing a "Live Action" Robin Hood, but then, they did also do a "Live Action" "Lion King", too.
From what I am seeing; the Working Title of the Film is; "Nottingham & Hood", with Brandon Barker writing, with the plan of it being similiar in Tone to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" Films! So, I assume Robin Hood shall be shown as a type of Captain Jack Sparrow Character, in it.
Like Belchic posts, it does seem to be a Disney Plus Original, too. I am also checking, and it seems that the "Live Action" "Lilo & Stitch" and "Sword In The Stone" shall be a Disney Plus Original, too!
You hear about the possible "Live Action" "Peter Pan" Film, too? The Cast has already been announced for that Film, with Yara Shahidi, known as Zoey from "Black-ish", as Tinkerbell, and Jude Law, who is Yon-Rogg in the "Captain Marvel" Film, as Captain Hook! You hear on this too, Pups?

Seriously, guys. All this news that you’re announcing was announced months, maybe even over a year ago. Why are you announcing it like it’s brand new information?

Ooooooooh, it seems the cast for the "Live Action" "Pinnochio" coming to Disney Plus has been announced, Pups!
While we Know Tom Hanks shall be Geppetto, we now have word that Evan Ainsworth shall be Pinocchio, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who is Jim Hawkins in "Treasure Planet") as Jiminy Cricket! Cynthia Erivo, who played Harriett Tubman in the Film "Harriett", will be the Blue Fairy, and we also have Luke Evans (Gaston in the "Live Action" "Beauty & The Beast") as The Coachman, with Keegan-Michael Key (Ducky in "Toy Story IV") as Honest John! Lorraine Bracco, known as Jennifer in "The Sopranos", shall be a newer character called; Sofia the Seagull.
This does look like an intriguing cast, and I am intrigued with this being the second Disney Antagonist for Luke Evans to play.
What you think of the cast, Pups?

We got some updates about the "Gaston" Prequel Series on Disney Plus, Pups! The Show has officially been given the Green Light. It seems that the Series shall be a trio show, too. Gaston & Le Fou, obviously, with Luke Evans & Josh Gad returning from the "Live Action" "Beauty & The Beast", but we also got a new addition to the cast. Briana Middleton, playing Tilly, who is Le Fou's Step-Sister. Here is the Series Description. Like posted before too, Alan Menken shall be writing new Musical Numbers for the Show, too. I admit, based on how this reads, I do wonder if this shall be like a spiritual successor to "Galavant"? Which is not a bad thing, "Galavant" is a really good show. So, what you think of this news, Pups?

Did they say when it’s coming, bab? I remember them announcing this series right before the pandemic hit.

I haven't got a Premiere Date, yet.
However, according to Disinsider, the Gaston Series is set to be called "Little Town". Something tells me, this may be a bit of a spiritual successor to "Galavant".
Though, I do hear that the Twelfth of November shall be called "Disney Plus Day", so maybe we shall be getting some major announcements then, including a possible premiere date for this Series? You think a Premiere Date may be revealed then?
