I went to see it, yesterday, too!
It is definately an enjoyable and fun Film.
The chemistry between the Characters is mainly what the Heart of the Film is, and they really do pull that off well. I admit, I do feel they could have gotten little more of the World, similar to how Zootopia was able to with the Animal World. Though, the Film is suppose to be more about the Brothers, than it is the World at large, like Zootopia is.
I shall also admit, I did get a lot of Peter Quill Vibes from Bailey, namely with the Mix Tape he listens to, as well as running from a Parent in Hospital. On top of the Film raising the factor of who the Father Figure in one's life is. It does make me wonder if that was part of the reason they cast Chris Pratt as Bailey?
Like I post, though; It is definately an enjoyable Film, with genuine Heart and worth seeing.
Like Trey posts; Soul is most likely going to be the Oscar Film for Pixar, this year, which I do look forward to seeing.
Did you catch John Ratzenberger's Cameo in Onward, Pups!?

I might get hate for this but I think I'll skip Onward and see Soul when it hits theatres.

I just saw it. I really don’t know what everyone was so critical about with this movie. This is the Pixar I know and love, and I didn’t see anything wrong with it.
The only thing that really disappointed me about it was they seemed to have dropped tradition of opening with a new original Pixar short in favor of showing a SIMPSONS short instead! Yes, I know Disney owns The Simpsons now, but that doesn’t mean they have to start milking it now!
So my personal ratings:
Story: 10/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 8/10

I give it a B+. The only thing that really disappointed me about it was they seemed to have dropped tradition of opening with a new original Pixar short in favor of showing a SIMPSONS short instead! Yes, I know Disney owns The Simpsons now, but that doesn’t mean they have to start milking it now! For lack of a better word? AWESOME!

Considering Pixar are working on Soul, Monsters At Work, as well as the Spark Shorts, I can understand if their hands are a bit full to make a Short at this time.
Some thing tells me, we should have, at least, have a Pixar made Short before Soul, when it airs in Cinema.
Do you think that may be likely, Pups?

That would probably make sense.
So next up is: Trolls: World Tour.

We got a New Trailer for Soul, Pups! It goes in to more detail about Souls, and I can definately post that the Animation Style is intriguing and creative. This shall definately be the major Pixar Film this year, if not the "Animated" Film of this year! www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOsLIiBStEsI do notice some thing, though. More recent Promotional Material have shown a Feline, and then the Trailer shows the Cat on his Hospital Bed. Is it going to be a case that Joe Gardner's Soul is going to go in to the Feline's Body, while Twenty-Two goes in to Joe's Body? What do you think of the Trailer, Pups!?

AniMat just posted his review of Onward today! youtu.be/MsgoOfXjC-EStory: 6/10 Animation: 8/10 Characters: 7/10 Overall: 7/10 = 70% Guess it wasn’t as bad as he thought it was going to be, but still no masterpiece, which is something we come to expect from Pixar.

Well, Pixar... kinda set their standards to an impossibly high level.
Remember that is the studio that was constantly pushing themselves as gods among us, remember how they were once nominated for Best Picture twice in a row? Just "good enough" is not enough for them. Not fair as other studios can get away with a lot less, but... if Pixar did release a few legit duds back in the 2000s they probably would have been spared that label.
I did like the movie just it's not going to replace any of your favorites.

Those of you who haven’t seen Onward yet and want to go see it, well...you’re kinda out of luck. A lot of movie theaters are closing down due to the Corona Virus that’s been going around, and we don’t know when this will end. Unfortunately, this means the release date of the live action Mulan has been postponed to an unknown release date as well.

I just heard that we won't be seeing Minions: Rise of Gru on it's intended release date either.
This is certainly a great way to start a new decade.

I don’t really care about Minions, SpongeBob or Bob’s Burgers. The one I’m most concerned about at this point is Soul, which we have not heard any word on yet as of today.

Well, despite the pandemic, Trolls: World Tour still somehow managed to get its theatrical release. AniMatt just uploaded his review of it, and the verdict?
Story: 4/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 3/10
Overall: 6/10 = 57%

It still gets a release means there's hope as experts are saying the death toll in the US may have hit it's peak.
At least Trolls: World Tour seems like an improvement over the first movie. I'll still skip it though.

Keep in mind; This Film, as well as a number of Films this year, are airing on Home Media, cause of the Pandemic! A similar thing did happen with Onward & The Sonic Film, even if they did get to Cinema for, at least, two weeks! That is likely how Animat saw the Film.
I think Ani Mat is also Canadian too, so some cases may be different where he is, is he!?
