Two-Tone: *sighs* Looks like running away wasn't a good idea after all. We got attacked by bigger dogs and almost got killed by them. We couldn't find a warm and comfortable place to sleep. The only food we could find is garbage. And it was raining the entire time we were away from home.
Lucky: Yeah, well, since Mother had found us and brought us back home, I'm gonna have to continue being punished for what I did to Spot. I feel really horrible about the whole thing. I feel very bad for pushing Spot off the roof of the barn to make her fly again, and for running away.
Two-Tone: For the running away part, Lucky, you shouldn't feel bad about it. I was the one who gave you that idea, and it got us both in danger.
Lucky: Anyway, I'm just happy that we're back home, even though I don't even look or even feel like I'm happy because I'm still punished. When I get off punishment, the first thing I'm gonna do when I see Spot is apologize to her. But right now, we have to see Mother coming into the barn so she can lecture us.
Perdita: Lucky, it's time we have a talk. You do know that what you did was wrong, don't you?
Lucky: Yes, Mother, I know. And I wanted to say I'm really sorry.
Perdita: I know you're sorry, Lucky, because you did something that got you in big trouble. I hope you've learned a lesson from all this.
Lucky: I did. I should never have forced Spot to try to fly again. I should never have pushed her off the roof.
Perdita: That's right, Lucky, you shouldn't have done any of that to Spot. But there's another and even bigger lesson. It's about running away from home. It was very dangerous and not smart at all, and Two-Tone shouldn't have given you that idea. None of you pups are to leave this farm without permission from me or your father. If you have a problem, just come and ask us, and we'll try to work it out. Understand?
Lucky: Yes, ma'am.
Perdita: Thank you. Now, tell me, exactly, why did you two really run away?
Lucky: We were really upset that you punished me because Spot and Cadpig told on me for what I did.
Perdita: Listen, Lucky. Cadpig and Spot told me that they're sorry for telling on you, and I'm sorry that I had to punish you. But you know we can't let you get away with doing something wrong. If you do something wrong, you get punished. That's the rule, and you really need to remember that. *to Two-Tone* That goes for you, too, Two-Tone.
Two-Tone: Yes, ma'am.
Perdita *off screen*: Thank you, Two-Tone. And for giving Lucky the idea to run away from home, I'm putting you under punishment.
Two-Tone: That sounds fair.
Perdita: That's because it is fair. You'll have the same punishment Lucky has, which means you are both going to bed an hour early every night for a week. Now, good night. *walks out of the barn*
Lucky: Well, Two-Tone, on the bright side, we get to pass our punishment time together.
Two-Tone: Yeah. We got the same punishment, and we'll get out of it at the same time.
Lucky: That's right. I mean, it's only seven nights of going to bed early. No big deal.
Rolly: Did you see what just happened, Cadpig? Two-Tone just got the exact same punishment as Lucky after they were brought back here from running away. Does our mother even know what those two can do behind her back and ours?
Cadpig: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So they both got the exact same punishment, and they're gonna spend their punishment time together. But at least it's nice to see them actually taking it really well!
