Well, To answer your question about, Crossing over with other Disney Films thing, Belchic. ;3

For me, I think all Disney Animated movies take place within all the Same Universe. =3
I mean, remember in the Lilo & Stitch series, where they crossed over with not only, Reccess, but Proud Family, Jake Long and Kim Possible...You could really tell the contrast in Art styles...

So, If it is said that all those Disney Shows exsist in the Same Universe, Why can't "101 Dalmatians" with other Disney Films? =3

Well, let me just say in my own defence that I am not a fan of crossovers, so that's something you'll just have to deal with.

I really don't understand all the "Lady and the Tramp" and "101 Dalmatians" crossovers. They are both about dogs so that's understandable and take place on different sides of the Atlantic but that can be subverted. However, Lady and the Tramp takes place about 50-60 years before 101 does. Nobody ever seems to notice that.

Admittedly even Disney got lax with that setting though. I read the reruns of the "Scamp" comic on Disney's website and it very clearly was set in present day (1950s-1960s when it was printed) despite the movie being set about 1900.

I like some crossover pairings--not just with 101 Dalmatians but from lotsa series. Some, of course, are quite strange, but others (that might actually be even stranger XD ) I like (like Danny PhantomxCoraline for example) I think it really all depends on the artist/author of the crossover pairing art/fanfiction to make their couple not only work well, but convince others that the two characters should be together

Yes, from the Sly Cooper games of course, good pairings those are. Granted, for me, it would be more like NeylaxSly Cooper at the very least, since Neyla's fate at the end of Sly 2 was undetermined

Hey, everyone. Kit here who can't be bothered to read through the thread because he has a cold. I will however explain my opinions on pairings with neat head titles.

Why?

Fans in specific fandoms usually have a favourite character in that fandom. Certain shows can have fans asking "I wish there was an episode where Character X did somethingblabla." In other cases the fans might see an underlying chemistry between two characters and wish to see that explored even though the show might just tease viewers with ideas of romance. Futurama is actually a good example here, but far from the only one. The show might not want to have any permanent romance for the fear of ruining the shows structure. But the ideas are there for the fans.

Did everyone get that? That's one reason why people might be interested in pairings.

Which are your favourite pairings, Kit?

I'm not really that interested in pairings. Any pairing can work if the concept of this pairing is interesting enough and carried out well. I guess I'm less interested in obvious pairings, but not all that interested in excessivly crack pairings, either. All though, like I said, there are exceptions in regards to how well it is carried out by the writer/artist.

I read/view fanfics/fanart more for the characters involved than for the actual pairing.

I still think these slash pairings dive into WTFsville. I know that 101 Dalmatians: The Series and Lady and the Tramp 2 are both by Disney, but they're still completely different universes. I'm not racist, and I'm not holding anything against the people who like those couples, but I just want to say that I think it makes no sense, and it sounds like you're trying to alternate reality.

You’re not racist? I don’t believe anybody accused you of being racist.

You’ve already altered reality. The simple act of creating a fan character and inserting them into that world alters reality. The simple act of writing a fanfic or participating in roleplay alters reality. You’ve taken a preexisting world and added to it, changed it, and then molded it to fit your needs. So why draw the line there? If people want to create crossover scenarios, how is that any different than what you’ve already done?

Thank you Huntsman. I'm personaly a huge crossover fan, I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I'm currently in the process of making a daughter for Lucky and Collette from LatT2.
