For those of you who didn't know, pairing is also referred to as shipping.
Another term with pairings is something called Ship Mates.
That's when people purposefully supports one couple so they can pair off another. For example: Digimon fan supports Matt x Mimi, so they can successfully ship Tai x Sora.

Tai and Sora totally belong together! Of course you could say that Tai and Sora had lots of character moments in the series and share a history. And yet.. Other fans finds shipping the insecure tomboy with the token hot blonde guy an interesting idea. Do you see where I'm trying to get at? =)

I recall, a while back, Belchic mentioned that people had been pairing Cadpig and Lucky together. I asked him about that but he didn’t respond. I don’t believe there is any evidence in the series to indicate that they had such feelings for one another, but just how much traction is there amongst the fandom for that pairing? I know there are several stories floating around – some of which are x-rated – which have them together, but I don’t really see it pop up too often. It’s a common cliché for childhood friends to eventually become lovers, and since Lucky and Two-Tone has been established at canon, the fact that they’re siblings doesn’t necessarily matter.

I like that couple too (Cadpig and Lucky). (And I also like the x-rated images)

childhood friends developing into lovers isn't nessecarily such a bad clichè in my book. I have nothing against Lucky/Cadpig pairing, but I'm not really a fan of any pairing in 101, cept for OCs..

ya I've seen lots of art of Cadpig and Lucky together (most of it mature stuff) heck they even have Lucky, Two-Tone, and Cadpig art of the three together (which explains why they are my three favorites of the litter, Cadsy grew on me ^^)

Yeah, I have seen pictures of Cadpig/Lucky as well. I was unfortunate enough to Google image search Cadpig and get a bunch of lovely pictures of Cadpig/Lucky.

Well, this topic has certainly taken a delightful turn. I remember my rant from a few years back, but I’ve since grown to appreciate fine art. Although I do prefer classier images than the ones that exist for the series. People tend to resort to the lowest common denominator; sex is the penultimate expression of love, but most of the images that exist seem to have been made simply for shock value or to prove that Rule 34 is alive and well. Artists can do so much more than that if they simply have the ambition to do so. Erotic art is best when the emphasis is placed on “art” instead of “erotic”. Somebody recently drew a portrait of Agnes from The Fantastic Mr. Fox, which actually resparked my interest in the movie. While it is erotic in nature, there is no sex in it and there isn’t even any actual nudity. It’s just an older version of her standing on the beach with a tight one-piece swimsuit, water dripping down her body. And yet it looked far better than any of the actual smut you can find online for any show or movie. That is art. I wish there was more art.

Sorry. Its my fault. Nothing to apologize for. I was expressing support for the change in direction, although I doubt that it will last.
