I wonder what Perdita and Pongo would have to say about Cadpig and Lucky getting together, or Lucky and Two-Tone for that matter. I think the general consensus is that dogs don’t care much about incest, but seeing as this is a world where the dogs are more intelligent than they are in the real world, can we really apply the same standards? I believe sip made an image where Two-Tone complained that Lucky had raped her, but Perdita shrugged it off and said that she enjoyed it. I doubt that would be the real reaction, but would Perdita and Pongo accept an incestuous relationship within their litter or would they try to break the lovers apart?

Yeah I remember seeing Sip's pic, I think it's on fA...
Imo I don't think Perdita would mind much if Lucky and TT were together.

Yeah I remember seeing Sip's pic, I think it's on fA... Imo I don't think Perdita would mind much if Lucky and TT were together. Would Pongo? There is a difference between maternal instincts and paternal instincts. There are numerous variables and not everybody is the same, but mothers are typically a lot more accepting than fathers. Frankly, I remember very little about the movie so I don’t really know much about either parent, and they only showed up occasionally in the series, but I still think this could prove an interesting point of debate. Although I suppose it wouldn’t matter much in the long run. Realistically, I’m pretty sure Anita and Roger would have most of the dalmatians neutered or spayed. I wonder how that would go down on the Dearly Farm. Perhaps a few of the dogs would be allowed to breed, but with one-hundred and one dogs already, it’s safe to assume that a lot of them are going to lose a large portion of their livelihood. I wonder which dogs they would deem worthy enough to keep their essentials. Would the dogs who go through the operations resent those who didn’t? It’s things like this that make for interesting discussions.

Though I do hope Roger and Anita at least spayed/neutered a few of the pups, otherwise the amount of them would well... double or more XD

Bahaha... the way you worded it, Huntsman, just gave me a chuckle. I can't deny I've also thought about that myself. I mean, with 101 dalmatians (or more, if you include OC's xD) on a single farm, there's really no way you can keep them from forming relations with one another other than spaying or neutering them. As pups there's not much to worry about, but as adults... ? Well, as if actually owning all those mature dogs isn't hard enough; it would be near impossible to keep these doggies from multiplying. There's a few ways it could be dealt with... - Neuter and spay a large portion of them. Not only is it a selective process, but it's also bound to be pretty costly ? As if their vet bills aren't enough as is... - Separate males and females ? This would probably limit the dalmatians's freedom, but it is possible... xP - Umm... give away the puppies ? As a matter of fact, not a bad idea... Roger and Anita can get their own breeding license and earn a pretty good amount of money breeding dalmatians, if they can select the right dogs to... do the deed. x'D But hey, since their vet bills must be soaring at this point, that would be a good way to pay them all off. Lol ! ... sorry if I went a tad off subject (not sure if I did ?), but I thought it was a quite an interesting point that I have often pondered about as a child. I always wondered a lot of things about owning 101 dogs in one household and how that would play out...

Huh. Those are some very nice observations. I never thought about it going that way.

well in 102's case Dipstick was adopted by Chloe Simon and he mated with her dalmatian Dottie (and giving us cannon second gen pups Oddball, Domino, and Little Dipper)
as for the other pups it's possible some were adopted out (Cadpig to the prime minister from the novel, Rolly as the FireChief's dog.)

In another topic, Two-Tone mentioned that she doesn’t support a certain pairing because it involved an older dog and a puppy. I thought this was an interesting point and one that may be worth discussing more. I’ve said this before, but can we really force our societal standards on dogs? Do they even care about such things? I mean, Lucky and Two-Tone got together despite it being incestuous. Is it that much of a stretch for a puppy and an older dog to fall in love? I don’t have a dog in this fight and don’t really care either way, but I’m typically in favor of letting people do what they do, especially when there isn’t an actual victim. What harm could come if people want to draw pictures or write stories of such things? If the characters in question were humans, or more specifically, based on real people, then I could understand the outrage. But we’re talking about animals and animal based characters. There is a difference.

that is a good point Huntsman unless said art or fanfics involve bashing (as I've seen in the Digimon fandom during the Takari vs Daikari wars almost a decade ago)

Yep yep! Huntsman is correct!
I have a question tho....I was thinkin' about this last night: how come it's okay to pair someone like Buster with Rebecca, but not Two-Tone? If you guys have a problem with age-gap pairings (and I know some people do) then why's the former pairing accepted and the latter not? Seriously, I'm curious to know.

I'm not sure why the other isn't accepted *shrug* to me I don't really care. But I do actually like the age gap pairings.... *guilty pleasure* >c>
