I’m really surprised how much of a hit Spider-Man has been seeing that it’s been sweeping all the awards! Makes me want to see it now! Though I would like to hear a good reason as to why it’s so popular other than “It’s awesome and everyone is required by law to love it!”
I seriously can’t believe Isle of Dogs was the only animated film nominated for more than one Oscar, and it won neither of them! For the uninitiated, it was also nominated for Best Original Score, but it lost to Black Panther.
I will say though, I was happy to see Bohemian Rhapsody win for every Oscar it was nominated for (excluding Best Picture).
Anyway, back to animation...
We still have the Kids Choice Awards coming up in April, and Best Animated Feature has a place in that. Though if I must be honest, I doubt Isle of Dogs will be nominated because it’s not really a kid-friendly film (it is rated PG-13, after all). If I were to make a prediction on what the nominees this year will be, I will say... Hotel Transylvania 3 Incredibles II Ralph Breaks the Internet Small Foot Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse Teen Titans GO! to the Movies And my prediction for the winner? Spider-Man, of course! Seeing how it’s been on a winning streak with all the awards shows, it should win this one too without a doubt!

Well, believe it or not, the nominees for Best Animated Feature for the Kids Choice Awards have already been announced!
The Grinch Hotel Transylvania 3 Incredibles 2 Peter Rabbit Ralph Breaks the Internet Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse
I’m surprised The Grinch made it on there.
I don’t know why Peter Rabbit is on there. It’s a hybrid film, so DISQUALIFIED!
Still, since Spider-Man has been on a winning streak with award shows, I’m predicting it will win here too. Spider-Man is really popular with the kids as well.

I agree with you, on the Peter Rabbit case, Belchic!
The Film is filmed in "Live Action", with the Animal Characters being C G I. With that logic, that means we can nominate any Star Wars Film, any Super Film, any Harry Potter Film, the "Live Action" "Beauty & The Beast", the "Live Action" "Jungle Book", or a large number of Major Films in the past ten to twenty years for the "Animated" Categorey.
If it was nominated for; "Visual Affects", that I can understand, though.
It makes me wonder, if they place Peter Rabbit in that categorey, cause they already had a Film for the categorey, which they were planning to nominate Peter Rabbit for? What you think, Pups!?

A lot of people seem to classify Peter Rabbit as an animated movie. That’s mainly because it was made by Sony, a studio that is known for making animated films.
Still, it annoys me when people classify a hybrid film as an animated film. In that case, why don’t we classify Twister (1996) as an animated film because the tornadoes were made with computers?
