I don't think Hasbro will do any more with LPS after it ends its production. It's not one of their more popular franchises like Transformers or MLP. Even in the 90's, I don't think the toys sold all that well.
My guess is maybe they'll make a new series reviving one of their other franchises that they haven't touched yet. Maybe something boy-targeted. They could maybe do a new Inhumanoids series; I know that was a forgettable toy line in the early 80's, but maybe a new cartoon will help gain it a better reputation (like what happened with LPS and MLP).

I feel kind of strange about the last episode. I'm starting to wonder if that doll is going to be a recurring character on the show. I've also noticed Buttercream hasn't appeared in this season yet. Do you suppose maybe this baby doll is Buttercream's replacement? If so, then I think the show has hit rock bottom officially. As you know, I hate Buttercream. But this baby doll (who may recur) makes Buttercream seem more tolerable to me! That is one hell of an accomplishment!

Okay, from what I understand, the show is supposed to take place in a fictional city. I always thought the city it took place in was New York City, because it looks a lot like it. However, in today's episode, Blythe and the pets go to a place called Seal Beach Bay. There is a city in California called Seal Beach (and I wouldn't be surprised if there were others). So does it take place in a real city or a fictional city?

From what I see, The place is called Seal Beach Bay, in the Show, but the actual place is called just "Seal Beach".
Though, this can be a case of how there are multiple locations, with the same name. There is a place called; "Bishop", in both California and Texas, and a place called "Big Sandy", in Montana, Tennesse, and Texas.
So, it is still likely in a fictionl City, but places haven' similar names isn' too surprising, is it, Belchic?

Sounds to me like you haven't been watching the newer episodes lately. A couple weeks ago, they aired an episode where Blythe's dad gave her a baby doll from Japan that once turned on cries like mad if she feels she doesn't get the attention she needs, and she has no off button and has a 20-year battery life! I don't remember the toy's name or the name of the episode. However, she was gone by the next episode, so chances are it won't be back.

So I finally got caught up with the episodes today.
I noticed in one episode, the pets actually reminded Blythe of past episodes...by saying the names of the episodes! Also, Sugar Sprinkles makes a surprise return.
On today's episode, I think Blythe and Youngmi had a perfect opportunity to perform a totem pole trench, but oh well, they didn't.
I'm not sure how many more episodes are left in this season, but I think it's more than half over. Even though Trey said this is going to be the final season, something tells me when it's over, Hasbro is going to announce that it got renewed for yet another season.

Anything is possible.
Fans definitely have a way of not letting their favorite shows die.

I hope that petition doesn't get enough signatures. Not trying to sound mean. I just think the show has worn out its welcome, and it's time to end it.
By the way, I noticed last Saturday, there was no new episode. I found out the show is going on a three week hiatus for reasons unknown.

I'm not sure if anyone else here is still watching this show. Trey is the only person who comes to mind.
Recently, the Biskits' mother has just been introduced. I like her a lot, though I wonder if this will lead to a higher demand for a season renewal.

To be honest I kinda stopped caring about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as I just kinda moved on and found something better to watch.
I may prefer this series, the new Alvin and the Chipmunks and the new Ninja Turtles series.
Also looking forward to seeing what Disney plans on doing with Zootopia.
