While that may be true, SLP still has quite a big fan base, and some of the actors have expressed interest in doing another movie. Not to mention, SLP has its own ride at Universal Studios, so that counts as something! But yeah, if they make another SLP movie or series, I wouldn’t be surprised if it went directly to streaming.

Looks like we got another streaming review on a Netflix exclusive called "The Sea Beast". Here's his score on it:
Story: 6/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 6/10
Overall: 7/10 = 73%
This film had a plot very similar to "How To Train Your Dragon" but makes up for it with it's animation and action scenes. Now, here's how the current rankings look:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 3. The Bad Guys - 80% 4. Lightyear - 77% 5. The Sea Beast - 73% 6. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 7. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 8. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 9. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
The next film in line should be "Paws of Fury", and then after that will finally be "DC League of Super Pets"!

I saw it's RT score it's at 51%.
The audience score is a little better at 62% but I have some reservations about that one.

Well, I was planning to go see it, but I’m booked this weekend, so I’m going to go next weekend, and then I’ll watch AniMat’s review afterwards if he reviews it. Though something tells me it’s not going to be pretty.

As far as box-office goes, Minions: Rise of Gru is totally kicking Lightyear's butt. It does make sense. Their success is further exemplified in their domination in the family films, meaning family films are coming back after a long string of duds. That, and the fact that Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank is packing a rather weak punch. This RT article says: Animated films have not had a great run since the pandemic began in 2020. It was almost two years before we saw one gross over $100 million ( Sing 2). A second occurred this summer with Lightyear, but that one has been considered a disappointment with just $115 million. Only the Minions have truly broken through to deliver numbers that feel pre-2020. Audiences just weren’t buying Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, on the other hand. Since the shortened run of Pixar’s Onward in 2020, animated films have not put up huge numbers, but they also haven’t put up extremely low openings either. Spirit Untamed ($4.39 million), Ron’s Gone Wrong ($5.78 million), and now Paws of Fury ($6.2 million) are the only 2,000-plus-theater-launched animated films to open under $10 million. The so-called “ Blazing Saddles updated for kids” will probably land between $25-30 million and likely end up on Paramount Plus very soon. editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/weekend-box-office-results-thor-love-and-thunder-stays-on-top-despite-big-drop/

Well, I don’t care what the reviews say or how much money it’s making. I’m going to go see it this Saturday! Unless maybe my loval cineplex isn’t playing it anymore by then.

AniMat's review of Paws of Fury is up now, but I'm not going to watch it yet. Not until after I see the movie for myself tomorrow night. Though I'm sure most of you are not interested in seeing it, so you guys can go ahead and watch the video for yourself if you want.

Well, DC League of Super Pets hasn’t come out yet, but I’m already disappointed with it. I was anticipating my favorite super pet to be in this movie, and that’s Wonder Woman’s pet: Jumpa the Kanga. However, it looks like she’s not going to be in this movie, and they’ve replaced her with PB Pig! Why would they do that???

I just got back from seeing Paws of Fury. I was actually pleasently surprised with it. It was actually pretty funny. In fact, I'd say it's probably the funniest animated film of the year so far. Although, as one who has seen Blazing Saddles, there were some noticable jokes that were nearly identical to the jokes from that movie. Then again, Mel Brooks himself did work on the screenplay of this movie, so that could have something to do with it.
Though I'm sure AniMat is going to think the polar opposite of me. Let's find out...
Story: 3/10 Animation: 6/10 Characters: 4/10
Overall: 4/10 = 43%
I was right. It even got his SEAL OF GARBAGE! According to him, the story was bland, the jokes were uninspiring, the animation was mediocre, the characters were boring and forgettable, and it didn't come anywhere near to matching the levels of Mel Brooks' signature style of comedy. Worst of all, it was not worth the wait after all these years. Though one thing I will agree with him on, the short that played at the beginning was weird and made me wonder what the hell I was watching!
Well, it looks like we got another stinker added to the rankings:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 3. The Bad Guys - 80% 4. Lightyear - 77% 5. The Sea Beast - 73% 6. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 7. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 8. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 9. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 10. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
"DC League of Superpets" is next, and hopefully that one won't get his Seal of Garbage too.

Reporting live from Nashville, I'm TreyVore!
I am going to say, I saw it too. Honestly, I didn't think it was that great. The characters were like kids versions from that movie, the story was rather forgettable and it wasn't all that funny.
If you are looking for a movie to introduce kids to the comedy styling of Mel Brooks this would be fine. Otherwise just stick with Blazing Saddles.

We just got DC League of Superpets. It's RT score is pretty good, with a critical score of 72% and an audience score of 83%.
The consensus is:
Although it never quite soars, DC League of Super-Pets is a more than satisfactory diversion for families in search of four-legged fun.
I think I should see this one.

Sounds like it's going to turn out better than Paws of Fury. Though I predict AniMat is probably not going to give it a score higher than 6/10.

Well, I've been waiting to see AniMat's review of DC League of Super Pets. He had very low expectations for this film, but let's see what he thought of it... Story: 4/10 Animation: 8/10 Characters: 6/10 Overall: 6/10 = 60% Just as I was fearing, he was pretty harsh on it. I guess that means nobody is allowed to like it then. So now, here's the rankings: 1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 3. The Bad Guys - 80% 4. Lightyear - 77% 5. The Sea Beast - 73% 6. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 7. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 8. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 9. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 10. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 11. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
