I got to see “Strange World” on the Disney Cruise, and I can say I did enjoy it!
It definately feels like a throwback to Pulp Science Comics of the Fifties! The title itself; “Strange World” does sound like a Comic title from that time, and makes me wonder if they will do a Comic Adaptation of this film!
I also do like the designs that this film has, a unique look, but begin to makes sense after the twist of the film, too!
I did enjoy the characters too, and I do find that it is a pretty fast watch too, with the film feeling shorter than it actually is.
Still, like I post, I did enjoy the film, and it be worth a watch.
I wonder if they snuck an Easter Egg for the next film in, somewhere?

Hey guys, we are going to be seeing Puss in Boots: the Last Wish soon.
It looks really good! Its current RT score is a critical score of 97% and an audience score of 98%.
Looks like 2022 will have a great animated film to end on!

On another note: It looks like I might be seeing Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio after Christmas. My parents both really want to see it, so now I will be able to see it and see if I think it’s worthy enough for me to brand as one of the best animated titles of the year. I have a strong feeling it will.

And of course, SEAL OF APPROVAL!
So now, here’s his final rankings for 2022:
1. Pinocchio - 95% 2. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - 90% 3. Turning Red - 87% 4. Wendell & Wild - 83% 5. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 6. The Bad Guys - 80% 7. Lightyear - 77% 8. Looks like AniMatt also reviewed Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. No specific ratings. Just a generic 4/10 with his Seal of Garbage.
He also reviewed the animated Night at the Museum film. This one got 6/10
The Sea Beast - 73% 9. My Father’s Dragon - 73% 10. Strange World - 70% 11. Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again - 60% 12. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 13. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 14. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 15. Luck - 47% 16. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 17. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules - 40% 18. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 19. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
Some of these I might be a little off on when he posts his Top 5 Best and Worst of the year. I hope he doesn’t upload it tomorrow. I really want to have a chance to watch Pinocchio before he does.

Well, I just finished watching Guillermo del Torro’s Pinocchio. I must say, it is way different than I thought it would be, as I expected. I will say, it does have some astounding animation, and it delivers a very deep message about the concept of death. However, I wouldn’t call it the best movie ever. I did have a few problems with it: 1. It was dark 2. It was depressing 3. It was mean-spirited 4. It was historically inaccurate 5. It had some similarities to Disney’s live action remake (which makes the fans of this movie that hate that one hypocritical) Though it’s not a horrible movie by any means. I did love Ewan McGregor’s performance, and I think the Wood Sprite and Death were the best characters in the movie. So now that I’ve seen that, here are my picks for the Top 5 Best and Worst Animated Films of 2022: TOP 5 BEST: #5 - Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank #4 - Guillermo del Torro’s Pinocchio #3 - Lightyear #2 - DC League of Super Pets #1 - Strange World TOP 5 WORST: #5 - The Bad Guys #4 - Minions: The Rise of Gru #3 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules #2 - Hotel Transylvania: Transformania #1 - Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild Trey_Vore, you can argue and disagree with me all you want, but my opinion still stands.

It came out exclusively on Paramount+ in June. It has a time travel plot and was seen as a good modernization of the characters.

The Oscar nominations were just announced today. Here’s what’s up for Best Animated Feature:
Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio Marcel the Shell with Shoes On Puss in Boots: The Last Wish The Sea Beast Turning Red
The Sea Beast surprised me the most, but that one probably has the least likely chance of winning. As for the rest, it’s pretty much anybody’s game, but I’m predicting the winner will be Pinocchio since it won the Golden Globe and the Critics’ Choice so far.

I would think so.
Chances are, it is miles above Disney's new Pinocchio.

The nominees for Best Animated Film for the Kids Choice Awards are out. The nominees are…
DC League of Super Pets Hotel Transylvania: Transformania Lightyear Minions: The Rise of Gru The Bad Guys Turning Red
Knowing how kids vote on this show, and going by the popularity of each film with each demographic, I’m predicting Turning Red is going to win.
