Works fine, like the nice touch of the Rolling Log falling off the tracks; something which has happened on the real show to a couple of contestants (only one of which actually dodged the water like Lucky)

We've seen 93 challengers so far, leaving us with just eight to go! How will the final challengers far...
First up is rocker Slayer. This pup is a member of the New Pups on the Block. The rocker has the moves on the stage but does he have the skills on the course. (The opening bars of "Welcome to the Jungle" play, pan to Slayer standing on the start line with a guitar) Slayer: Welcome to the Jungle Baby! You goin' die! (3...2...1...GO! Slayer races onto the course and quickly passes the Door Jam. He's over the Balance Bridge, sliding a little but clearing it. Hes onto the Rolling Log and after a rough ride down completes it. Up the Stairs, he swings across and climbs his way into Stage 2 with 6.3 seconds left) Slayer was just plain rockin' as he cleared Stage 1. He's taking his show on the road to Stage 2.
Our last three challengers cleared Stage 1 but wound the winning streak keep going all the way to the end...
Duchess Sarah was next but a slip on the Rail Run sent her into the water quickly. At least she had fun doing so. Next was Portia. She wasn't allowed to use her summons but was still doing well until she fell on the Balance Bridge 97th was Volker. The winged dog couldn't use his wings but it didn't stop him as he clear Stage 1 with 10.2 seconds left 98th was Leo. The puma was only the second feline to attempt the course today. The big cat started strong but fell off the Rolling Log and plunged into the water. Finally, the 99th challenger was ladies man Luke. This "Love Machine" took a plunge after stopping on the Balance Bridge, trying to show off for the chicks.
Only 2 challengers remain, one is a main pup and the other is the only one to already carry the title of "Top Dog"...
The 100th challenger is Rolly. Rolly is one of the main pups and has saved the farm numerous times. But on obbstacle courses Rolly has a record of only about .500. On Pug's previous course, Rolly almost faced TOTAL defeat when he almost fell off a cliff and needed Lucky to save him, but on another TV obstacle course Rolly eat thru a pool of Jello to achieve Total Victory. What kind of performance will he have today. (Rolly steps onto the course) Rolly: What what I do for the fancy Kanine Krunchies... (Surveys the course) Rolly: Yeah, I can do that... (3...2...1...GO! Rolly races onto the course. Wow! When food is on the line he's amazing! He's passed the Door Jam and over the Balance Bridge. Onto the Rolling Log and he's down. Up the stairs, Rolly swings across and climbs to victory with 11 seconds left. Maybe that is muscle and not fat) Rolly may be fat but with a prize of gourmet food on the line he brought his A-game, becoming the second main pup to clear Stage 1.
The honor of being the the 101st and final challenger goes to the challenger voted "Most likely to complete the course" by the other 100 challengers. That honor goes to Tripod, the only challenger to already carry the title of Top Dog. The three-legged dog set the all-time record on Pug's old course to earn the title as well as a place as Pug's second in command. Tripod trains harder than any other pup and it shows but will he have enough to complete the entire three stage course and achieve Total Victory. (Tripod hops onto the course on his front paw) Tripod: I've trained hard, I know I can go all the way. (3...2...1...GO! It's like he's shot from a gun! Tripod is racing thru Stage 1 faster than any other challenger. Passed the Door Jam and actually picking up speed crossing the Balance Bridge. Down the Rolling Log, He's only got one arm to grip with but it works! He's up the stairs and swings across on the Rope Climb. A quick up and Tripod punches the button. He's beaten Stage 1 with 25.7 seconds left on the clock, the best time of the day) Tripod turned Stage 1 into a personal cake walk as he easily cleared with the best time of the day.
And now for the Top Eliminator, the obstacle that knocked out the most challengers. The "honor" goes to the Balance Bridge. It looked decepitively simple but it proved harder than any other part of the course.
We've now reached the end of Stage 1, while 101 brave challengers took it on, only 23 made it passed to Stage 2. With 78 challengers eliminated on the First Stage alone, will anyone make past the last two stages and achieve Total Victory. Stay tuned for more insane obstacles, more heartbreaking falls and more of the Top Dog Challenge!

Night has fallen over the Top Dog course. It's been a hard day as 101 brave challengers take on Lt. Pug's "unbeatable" new obstacle course. So far, it has lived up to its name. Out of the 101 challengers, 78 faced elimination on the first of the three stages. But 23 made it passed Stage 1 and must now face the even harder Stage 2 which is now finally revealed.
(The lights flip on and reveal Stage 2 from the darkness)
Stage 2 consists of 7 obstacles...
Super Jump Challengers will stand on a platform with wheels that slides down a slope that ends in a ramp. Before the platform hits the end of the ramp, they must jump off it in order to land on the small cushion. The distance between the ramp and the cushion is a water hazard.
Lumberjack Climb If there is one thing that doesn't comes naturally to canines it's climbing trees but that is exactly what this original obstacle requires. A 4 foot high log has been placed in the middle of a water hazard, accessible only by a path of stable floating mats (these are not an obstacle, they are secured in place). The challenger must climb the log to reach the next obstacle. It can be attempted in one of two ways. The fiirst is to just climb it unassisted, next to impossible for almost any dog, which would allow for a second chance should they slip and fall back onto the soft mat that they walk up to the obstacle on. The other, probably easier, way is to use a harness like a lumberjack would. Challengers can wrap the harness around the tree trunk and use it to assist their climb. But if a challenger chooses to use the harness the soft mat is pulled back and one could slip them into the water.
Chain Reaction The competitor must ride two sequential chain zip-lines over a pit of water, switching between them in midair. The zip-lines travel perpendicularly to each other above a large water hazard. Challengers must grasp the chain on the first zip-line, ride to where the first chain slams into the scaffold, then switch to the next chain in midair, and ride the second zip-line to the end of the obstacle where they'll drop onto a mat to proceed to the next obstacle. During the switch, competitors may kick off a nearby solid wall. Watch out for the whiplash caused by inertia at the end of each zip-line. For safety reasons, challengers must wear a pair of gloves on their front paws during this obstacle which they will remove afterward before proceeding.
Balance Tank The competitor must balance atop a large rolling barrel as it rolls down a straight, decending track above a water hazard. The barrel will pick up speed as it goes.
Rumbling Dice A box frame made of two steel squares connected by four monkey bars, one at each corner, is placed on two bars that traverse over a water hazard in mid-air. The competitor must roll the box frame across the pit by grabbing the top monkey bar in front and pulling it down again and again.
Domino Hill The competitor balances and walks across 40 upright, foam dominoes divided into 4 zones, Blue, Green, Yellow and Red. With each zone it gets harder (the dominos start to tip more easily). The blocks in the Yellow zone have a rounded top and the ones in the Red zone form a slight incline. There is no water hazard but those who fall are still eliminated.
Cliff Hanger The competitor must traverse three narrow ledges only large enough to be supported by the paws in mid-air. The middle ledge is raised above the others. Beneath the obstacle is a water hazard.
Completing all 7 obstacles will grant a challenger a shot at the 3rd and Final Stage for Total Victory.
The Rules Contestants must stay on the course Failing to complete any one of the obstacles results in instant elimination There is no time limit, challengers can take as much or as little time as they need, within reason, to complete the Stage.
For how I'm going to write... At this point, unless there are objections, I figured I would take control of all the challengers left except for my own characters who I give up control of for the remainder of this fic. This switch assures that no one, including me, can write their own fan character to an automatic win. If anyone else can write the runs for my two characters still in it, Roadhouse and Wing, it would be appreciated.

It would seem more fair that way instead of some members glorifying their own characters

Let's begin Stage 2, the order of contestants has been choosen randomly...
First up is horror story author Serling. While most noted for his fiction, Serling has become one of this event's biggest surprises. His athletic boxing background helped him clear Stage 1 but will it help him achieve total victory (The entrance for Stage 2 is the Super Jump platform being raised into position on the course by an elevator out of a dry ice fog. It stops at the top of the Super Jump. Serling is the first to make this entrance. How will he do? 3...2...1...GO! The platform begins its roll. Serling is in position...BUT MISTIMES! He doesn't jump before it reaches the end and is flung into the water hazard) And the galss slipper shatters. Serling was strong on Stage 1 but the Super Jump was just too much and flung Serling's hopes of victory straight into the Twilight Zone.
Next is Connor. This red fox spent much of his life living in a zoo before escaping. Now he lives on the farm and is the boyfriend of Roxy. His vulpine speed and balance got him thru Stage 1 and with several balance obstacles on Stage 2, he may be headed for glory. (Connor rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! The platform races down. Connor jumps! He's a little short but grips the side of the cushion. There is a quiet splash sound though. Connor pulls himself up and prepares for the next obstacle BUT WAIT! He's waved off by the course judges! What happened?) Connor seemed to have beaten the Super Jump but a quick review of the footage determined that the small splash was the white tip of his tail clipping the water, eliminating him. Tough break
Next is Konami. This gamer pup is not the most athletic but he spent weeks studying tapes of the shows that inspired Pug's new course and it paid off as he cleared Stage 1. But will it work again on Stage 2? (Konami rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! Konami's platform starts rolling and he leaps...and MAKES IT! Konami is the first to clear the Super Jump. He walks to the Lumberjack Climb and straps the harness on he begins his climb as the mat is pulled away. He gets halfway up but slips and falls right into the water) Game Over. While Konami studied every obstacle on his tapes, the Lumberjack Climb was an original obstacle that isn't from those shows and when he faced it he found it harder than Contra without cheat codes.
4th up is Tic-Tac. Tic-Tac did not even attempt to clear Stage 1 but won on a technicality that involved taking my family hostage in one of his few very openly public evil acts. His "rules loophole" however was eliminated however by a daring hostage rescue by the local S.W.A.T. team. Still, Tac is one of the farm's smartest pups. Can he think his way thru Stage 2? (Tac rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! He doesn't but someone kicks the platform and sends it sliding. It hits the end and Tac is flung forward, amazingly landing right on the cusion) Tic-Tac: Ah, what the heck. The title of Top Dog sounds appealing I guess. (Inaudible) Show off for Aria (Tac wraps the harness around and climbs up the Lumberjack Climb slowly, thought fully. He makes it. Tac is the first to reach the Chain Reaction. He quickly puts on his gloves and swings out. He survives the inertia whip and switches chains successfully. Amazingly Tac finishes the Chain Reaction and moves on to the Balance Tank after removing the gloves. Could he really do it? He carefully starts the Balance Tank and gets the speed perfect as he finishes it. He's three obstacles from the Final Stage! He grabs the Rumbling Dice and, dangling over the water, jerks it down. He begins the rough crossing but he's starting to show signs of tiring. He makes it halfway across before ramming it down and losing his grip. He hangs on by one paw for a second before dropping into the water below) And so the farm's top villian was defeated again, this time by the Top Dog course. Tic-Tac was reculant to try but once he did he took advantage of the lack of a time limit to think his way deep into the course before he tired and plunged into the water.
5th up is Rolly. He may be a bit overweight but when the prize for completion is gourmet dog food Rolly takes it up another notch. Rolly is one of only two main pups to clear Stage 1 and may be one of the underdogs who could really surprise on Stage 2... (Rolly rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! Rolly's platform races down the ramp. Rolly jumps...but he doesn't have the distance and wipes out with a huge splash. Rolly is defeated by the first obstacle!) Rolly has helped the farm achieve many victories but he won't add another today. Rolly messed up his leap and plunged into the muddy water below.
6th is Kasey. This hyper-competive King Charles Spaniel messed on Stage 1 but made it here with an amazing leap across the Rope Climb gap. She is the first of the six female challengers who cleared Stage 1 to take on Stage 2. Can she become the first challenger to clear thru to the Final Stage? (Kasey rises onto Stage 1. 3...2...1...GO! She races down and leaps, making it across and finishing the Super Jump. She runs over to the Lumberjack Climb and climbs it, slowing down in a fashion similar to how Tac cleared it. She makes it. It's on to the next obstacle. She puts on a pair of gloves and swings out. She finishes the first part and successfully transfers to the second. She swings down and finishes! She removes the gloves and its on to the Balance Tank. She gets into position and starts it rolling. She's doing well but as the barrel speeds up she slips and falls straight off the front and into the water hazard below) Kasey is one competitive Spaniel and she made further into Stage 2 than most so far but one slip caused her to lose her balance and she fell out of the event.
Next up is Stealth. Stealth is the only member of the infamous Heartbreakers who cleared Stage 1. As the group's muscle, she's also the one most likely to beat the course. Can Stealth keep the goal of a Total Heartbreakers victory alive? (Stealth rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! She's off and easily finishes the Super Jump. She reaches the Lumberjack climb and takes it leap it, then claws her way up without the harness. Now it's the Chain Reaction. She swings and finishes the first part and successfully transfers. She kicks off the wall and finishes the obstacle. Onto the Balance Tank, she starts and rides it 3/4 of the way across and just jumps the rest successfully. Showing no signs of tiring, she takes on the Rumbling Dice. Pulling it down again and again, it is aparent Stealth is throwing caution to the wind. She finishes and prepares for Domino Hill. It is recommended challengers walk this part but Stealth takes a risker approach and runs straight up it! It seems to be working, she easily clears the Blue and Green Zones. But in the Yellow zone she stumbles and it catches up to her as the dominos tumble and she falls at the start of the Red zone) And that's it for the Heartbreakers. Stealth seemed to be on the right track for victory but her decision to show off and run up Domino Hill did her in. She went deeper into the course than any other challenger but it wasn't enough.
8th is Drake. This native of New Zealand was the first to clear Stage 1 and now hopes to do the same on Stage 2... (Drake rises onto the course. 3...2...1...GO! Drake starts his run with a successful leap on the Super Jump. He then walks up to the Lumberjack Climb and successfully uses the harness to reach the top. Next is the Chain Reaction. He swings and finshes the first part, transfers, kicks off, and finishes the second. Now he takes on the Balance Tank. He starts slow but is able to stay on as it speeds up. He completes it and takes on the Rumbling Dice. Pulling it down again and again, he completes it and moves on to Domino Hill. Here Drake slows, calculating every step. He passes the Blue, Green and Yellow zones with no sweat. A slight slip in the Red zone is not enough to stop him and he finishes! Now for the Cliff Hanger. Drake starts quickly and reaches the rise. With an audible grunt Drake pulls himself up. Can he do it? The decending part is harder. Drake reaches his right paw down and grabs, then releases his left...and successfully grabs. He moves across the rest and swings onto the finish. With a spray of celebratory white smoke, Drake has finished Stage 2!) That's how to do it, Drake showed once again that the course is beatable with an amazing run that earned him to the right to go for the title of Top Dog on the Final Stage
Stage 2 is proving even harder than Stage 1. Eight of the 23 challengers who defeated Stage 1 have attempted Stage 2 but only one, Drake, was able to finish it and advance. With 85 of the original 101 challengers now on the sidelines, will any of the remaining 16 be able to defeat Stage 2 and join Drake to take on the big tower that looms over the entire course? Stay tuned for more shocking defeats, more amazing triumphs and more of the Top Dog Challenge!

I was surprised to see Stealth lose. I wonder how my other two characters will do. I'm sure Noggin will do fine; he never loses at anything. *evil laughter*
