Here's the ones I think I'll see: The Lorax Pirates! Band of Misfits Madagascar 3 Ice Age 4 Wreck-It Ralph I'll wait for the reviews: Brave Frankenweenie Rise of the Guardians I'll skip: Ariety Paranorman Hotel Transylvania For the Best Animated Film of 2011, I haven't seen Rango but have been hearing good reviews, but I really liked Puss in Boots. I originally predicted that Rio would be nominated but it didn't happen. And it doesn't surprise me that one of the nominees is not Cars 2. I just read that for the movie Pirates! Band of Misfits, the "leprosy" sequence is going to be altered because some civil rights groups are taking offense at it. movies.yahoo.com/news/aardman-animation-to-change-scene-featuring-leper-boat-in-‘the-pirates--band-of-misfits’.html

These days, Some viewers complain over the smallest of things. Although I do hear, Leproasy doesn't have you limes fall off, nor can you get it by making contact with those who do, I wouldn't recommend it as there is a tiny percentage of the Population who don't have an immunity to it.
Although, that's probably why they issues complaint. o.o
Wait, does this sound like a Random Fact to you?

Well, now that I have more info about these films, I can give some honest opinions about what I think about them, but first, I want to say this:
TFITC is a little more open-minded about these films then AniMatt is. He's looking forward to seeing all of them except for two:
Madagascar 3 - because he didn't like the first one and hasn't seen the second one.
Ice Age 4 - He liked the first two, but the third one showed signs of decline.
Now, my thoughts:
Secret of Arrietty: Not interested.
The Lorax: It's worth a shot.
Pirates! Band of Misfits: Maybe. I do love Nick Park's work, but I'll probably wait for the DVD.
Madagascar 3: I liked the first two, so I want to see this.
Brave: I hope it's as good as everyone's anticipating it to be.
Ice Age 4: Are you kidding me? The first one was mediocre at best, and I haven't seen the other two.
Paranorman: Not sure, but my mom is interested.
Hotel Transylvania: After reading about the plot and the actors, it sounds awful, but it's directed by Gendy Tartokofsky.
Frankenweenie: I'll probably see it if my friends go out to see it, and I hope it turns out better than Burton's college film of the same name.
Wreck-It Ralph: I'm really looking forward to this.
Rise of the Guardians: I'll wait for the reviews.
Those are my thoughts. Can't wait to hear others.

This year's Oscar nods for Best Animated Film are... A Cat in Paris Chico & Rita Kung Fu Panda 2 Puss in Boots Rango My money is on Rango, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots are both sequels so if either wins it's probably because Dreamworks bought the committee (which happens). Maybe one of those art house ones will upset this year. No animated films were nominated for Best Picture. Well, in case you haven't found out yet, Rango won.

Well, I just saw a trailer for Frankenweenie the other day, and now, I want to see it. I didn't like the version on the Nightmare Before Christmas Special Edition DVD, but this version looks a lot better. For one reason, it's done with Burton's classic stop-motion animation. The version on the NBC DVD was live action, and it seemed to go on forever. This movie should be worth the ticket price.

That'll die in development, to make a movie someone actually has to want to see it. Plus that's an 80s brand but not one most people would remember for nostalgia purposes is it?

This is what AniMat has to say about the upcoming animated films of this year: Ariety: Cool. The Lorax: Doubt. Pirates: Great. Madagascar 3: Not sure. Brave: Gonna be good! Ice Age 4: Not another one! Paranorman: Interesting. Hotel Transylvania: Help me, Jesus! Frankenweenie: Can't wait! Wreck-It Ralph: Maybe. Rise of the Guardians: Awesome. So far, this is what he says: The Secret World of Arrietty: 9/10 - Excellent! The Lorax: 5/10 - Mediocre! The Pirates! Band of Misfits: 8/10 - Great! Madagascar 3: 7/10 - Good! Brave: 8/10 - Great! Ice Age 4: 5/10 - Mediocre! Based on his logic, The Secret World of Arrietty is likely to win Best Animated Feature of 2012. Also, he'll probably place The Pirates! Band of Misfits higher than Brave because he says Brave's animation was better, but The Pirates! had better characters. I think for Worst, he'll probably put Ice Age: Continental Drift in a worse position than The Lorax.

That may be true, but there is a chance Hotel Transylvania will beat out Ice Age for the worst. As for the best, he is looking forward to Frankenweenie and Rise of the Guardians, so either of those could beat out Arrietty. The other two he's kind of iffy on, so I can't really say where he might put those.

I didn't see it but it seemed okay. There were a lot of folks who figured that would be a behind-the-scenes biopic drama of the Stooges lives...BUT instead they just made a light family-friendly comedy. The movie was even made in the style of the Stooges with the movie divided into three shorts each with its own storyline.

Well, I thought I'd give an update on the movies I have gone to see this year.
So far I have gone to see: Big Miracle The Lorax Madagascar 3 Brave Ted
I'm planning to see: Finding Nemo 3D Frankenweenie Wreck-It Ralph
I wanted to but didn't get a chance to see: Pirates! Band of Misfits Rock of Ages
On the above list, I know the former of those two is coming out on DVD later this month.
