Apparently, The UK isn't getting any Movies, I wish to see til 2013. =s Seriously, they're releasing Wreck-It Ralph over here in January or Febuary. And also the Les Mis film...even though a good majority of it was filmed in my home city...
Why does it take months to release a movie in the UK!?

Be calm, bab. Patience is a virtue.
I think you'll love Wreck-It Ralph, though, because I know how much you love movies with a lot of backstories and plot twists, and this movie has both.

It happened guys. AniMat just reviewed Rise of the Guardians. For the final animated movie of 2012, he says: The Story: 6/10 The Animation: 10/10 The Characters: 8/10 Decent story, flawless animation, great characters. Rise of the Guardians (2012) - 8/10 Great! I guess I made a good choice by seeing Wreck-It Ralph again. All that's left now is to see his Top 5 Best and Worst lists.

They officially have listed the nominees for the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature. Keep in mind that this is different than the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Key point:
In 2011, the winner of the Academy Award was Rango, but the winner of the Golden Globe Award was The Adventures of Tintin.
Anyway, the nominees for the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature are:
Brave (Pixar) Frankenweenie (Disney) Hotel Transylvania (Sony) Rise of the Guardians (DreamWorks) Wreck-It Ralph (Disney)
I am going to say Wreck-It Ralph should win.

I haven't seen "Wreck-It" since it hasn't come out in the UK yet.
I doubt, Brave or Hotel Transylvania will win.
Although, Frankenweenie may have a good chance too. It definately stands out on the list, being the only Stop Motion (along with the Only Non-CGI) one, right?

Wreck-It Ralph is better than Frankenweenie. You really should see it once it comes out in the UK.

Here's what my beliefs are for what will win for Best Animated Feature:
- Arriety might have a shot. - The Lorax, definitely not. - Pirates, there's a very slim chance. - Madagascar was at a time the highest grossing film, but it's popularity is short lived. - Brave I still think has a good chance. Even though it did get mixed reviews, it still has a cult following. - Ice Age, no way. - ParaNorman, maybe. - Hotel Transylvania is extremely unlikely. - Frankenweenie got mixed reviews, so I don't think it has a chance. - Wreck-It Ralph may have a strong chance. - Guardians...I'm not sure about.

Frankenweenie is still a Good film in my Opinion, so it may have a chance.
I will see Wreck-It-Ralph when it comes out, although would the inclusion of other video game characters affect it a bit?

Frankenweenie is still a Good film in my Opinion, so it may have a chance. Your opinion isn't the only one that matters, you know.

Your opinion isn't the only one that matters, you know. Did Bab say that anywhere? No =/ He just gave his opinion thinking it has a chance. My belief though.. I'm pretty sure W-I-R will get a high score. Though I don't think Brave or Hotel Transylvania will do well.

To answer your question bab no. The inclusion of all those video game characters isn't really an issue; the movie doesn't depend on them being on screen, even if the marketing campaign may suggest otherwise.
I am going to say this: even if Hotel Transylvania wasn't supposed to be an award winner I do think it could have been a pretty good kids' movie.
It has a funny idea: like how if on The Santa Clause they had "what if your dad was Santa Claus?" in that movie they had "What if your dad was Count Dracula?" You wouldn't have any real reason to be afraid of all those different monsters if that was the case.
But like I said before, we don't need this movie to tell us who these classic movie monsters are; they've been around so long and done so much you probably know them already. That presents another problem--they also seem to think that applies to everyone including the characters we aren't familiar with; it's like they didn't need to worry about character development so let's just get to the jokes.
Then there's also the fact there's really not much of a villain. That kinda eliminates any sense of urgency.
It could've been another Monsters, Inc. But too many poor choices bog it down.

Watched Wreck-it Ralph today. It was the best animated movie of 2012 imo. I thought I'd like Frankenweenie more, since Tim Burton is my favourite Director, but I have to admit, I enjoyed WIR a lot more. The story was amazing. Oh, and Fix-it Felix wins the award for hottest animated character ever, imo.

They listed the awards. The Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature went to Brave. On a brighter note, they list the nominees for the Academy Award for Best Animated Film of 2012. The nominees are: Brave (Pixar) Frankenweenie (Disney) ParaNorman (Laika) The Pirates! Band of Misfits (Aardman/Columbia) Wreck-It Ralph (Disney)

Brave won!?
Well, I admit the Animation was good, but the Story had much to be desired for. Like I commented when I saw it; It felt like "Camelot Meets Brother Bear" And as Chel said; The Brothers are pretty much Huey Duey & Louey.
Although, the Academy Awards Nominees seems like a good list.
You still rooting for W-I-R, Trey? =3
